Kevin came to our house on the Sunday following Christmas. Did not mind since we were in need. Polite, professional, knowledgeable.

He upgraded the electrical box, changed out a light fixture and a bathroom fan. He had to hunt to find the correct fan. His estimate was very reasonable.

This is an exceptional company all around. I believe that hiring someone to do work in your home is an already challenging task, but hiring someone for electrical work which can become complex and critical to complete correctly is even more difficult. St. John Electric impressed me on every front. They were very communicative throughout the process, providing information to me throughout the day, no matter how many questions I asked. They were thorough in explaining exactly what was going to happen and making sure that I was not only aware, but that I was satisfied before and after the work started. We originally hired St. John Electric to help us install a transfer switch in our home for a portable generator. They did a phenomenal job in making sure we understood how to use it, how to operate the new system and made sure everything worked perfectly before they left. Once we realized how amazing they were, we quickly scheduled more work with them. They have not only made our home better in terms of fixing long-standing problems and finally giving us the capability to use things the right way, but they've made our home and family safer. They discovered wiring problems we weren't aware of and never would have noticed. Other contractors and electricians have glossed over these items time and time again, but St. John Electric pointed the problems out, told us our options and then ensured that they were fixed properly. Being happy with their performance is an understatement...simply put, this company is amazing and I am so thankful to have found them to start work with. I would recommend them for any type of work involving electrical you can think of...they know what they are doing, they will do a terrific job and they will blow you away with the results. Service is excellent!! One thing I really am happy about is they showed up to my house 5 minutes before they said they were supposed to, On time service is very important!! I have several homes and St. John Electric will get all of my business!!

The Short Version: STOP LOOKING. Hire him NOW! The Long Version: After completing what I think is a pretty extensive renovation in our home, out of all of our contractor experiences, Kevin was the most professional, reliable and easiest to communicate with. He arrives promptly and doesn't take short cuts. He installed a new panel and grounded our home, rewired and installed new outlets throughout our kitchen (including in the countertop), under cabinet lighting, buried and took out wires we no longer needed when we took down walls, wired our home for TV's to be mounted, and wired & installed lights with dimmers in the ceiling of our 70's home. All of his work easily passed several inspections in Rochester Hills. We never had to worry that his work wouldn't as he is familiar with code and works meticulously. The Kitchen took some creativity and he had great solutions. I honestly feel so cool now that we have USB ports around and an outlet that pops out of our countertop! Equally as important, he is easy to communicate with through text, phone or email and always responds quickly. We "interviewed" 4 electricians, some that were recommended to us by other contractors but we went with Kevin bc of his straightforward pricing and professionalism. Everyone else wanted to bill us by the hour, for an unknown amount of time, and he was the only electrician who put together a formal quote that line itemed the each "job." I am beyond happy with his work and recommend him to anyone I can because I feel like I won the tradesman lottery finding him! I know anyone else will be just as satisfied. Thanks, Kevin!!
