We are a small family own business. Our services include Septic tank cleaning, repairs and installation and grease trap, cleaning, maintenance and small repairs.

"I got a call from R & E Chief Septic llc after contacting Angi’s List, they asked if I knew the location of the tank and I said yes but it was buried, the woman on the line said they would get the drawings from the county, that same day I got a call from Juan one of the employees and he said he was going to stop buy and mark the location, I was not home but when I got home I could see white flags in the yard. They also recommended installing an above ground cover for the next pump out. I got 2 more estimates and they were all higher and neither company offered to come out and mark the tank. We went with R & E Chief because of the great up front customer service. Need to give a shout out to Juan, Fredy and Paco they did an excellent job. And also the woman who answered the phone. So if you need septic work done, put this company at the top of your list. Ron Welch"

If you’re maintaining your septic system, your drain field should last around 20 years. However, it’s important to get it inspected every two to five years to help your system last as long as possible and make sure it’s in safe, working order. Wells usually replenish at about 5 gallons per minute, but a few variables can influence how quickly they refill. A deep well will take more time to replenish than a shallow well, and any leaks or other damage can slow down the replenishment rate. Other factors, such as a faulty well pump, a clogged well screen, and local geology, can also affect the replenishment rate.

The depth of a septic tank’s drain lines is between 18 and 36 inches underground. These pipes are filled with perforations and surrounded by sand, gravel, or a combination of both, as both materials help filter wastewater. While some pipes are buried closer to the surface, this can create problems unless the soil is compact and doesn’t shift much. 

The purpose of a septic tank is to allow solid wastes to separate out of the wastewater using time, gravity, and other natural biological processes. If your septic tank is too small, it might be overwhelmed by solid waste and unable to accomplish this task—and if it’s far too large, there won’t be enough liquid in the tank to nurture the necessary bacteria to aid in the breakdown process.

Over time, your septic tank can accumulate a buildup of sludge at the bottom of the tank. If left unpumped and uncleaned, the sludge will back up into your pipes and home, causing failure and extensive (and smelly) damage. Repairs to your septic system can be costly, which is why regular maintenance is required. It takes about 30 minutes to pump a septic tank that’s 1,250 gallons or less or 1 hour for larger varieties.
