The work included internal wall removal; complete bathrooms' renovation including tiling and fixtures; full kitchen renovation including cabinet planning and installation, island installation, and tiling; pocket door installation; hardwood floors installation; wiring and electric work including recessed lights; carpentry and painting. His last work was building a new wooden deck on the existing foundation.The work was done on the highest level both in terms of the skills and mastery, communication, and the level of trust. Bill helped us with kitchen counter caulking, needed carpentry to replace rotting wood around the front door, cleaning out and reworking the dryer vent piping plus repaired the back fence gate that was a problem getting stuck for years. "Mr. Diaz and his crew did a beautiful job painting our new home, both the interior and exterior, as well as the interior of our old apartment.The prior condition of the exterior paint was very rough, and took a lot of preparation before they could paint. The crews were friendly, professional and conscientious about their work. They were punctual, showed up and worked consistently until the job was done. When we wanted to use a special finish on our floors, he found the people who could do it and made the arrangements, keeping costs very reasonable and competitive with other estimates. "I have used Matt and his company for almost 12 years. He has done small and huge jobs in our condo and then our single family home. "This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"
