Mike installed the new door, created a way for our pet door to fit while still being able to LOCK the slider! Over three days - the tear out, purchasing of many materials, repairing the frame, installing the new door, repainting/restoring the interior and exterior to BETTER than they previously appeared, and rigging that new and improved pet door - he worked diligently. Our deck was in awful condition and I was surprised when Mr. Johnny told me that much of my wood was in good condition. He could have told me i needed to replace the entire deck! "I have used Mark many times over the past 15 years, but usually for smaller projects. This was a full kitchen remodel where we first contacted him in November 2021 with the intention of starting the actual demo/remodel in Spring 2022. He provided us with some insights on what to plan for, as well as some designers to consider. While we used a designer for the initial, rough design, we knew we were going to ask Mark for a custom built triangular corner cabinet. The demo work started late Spring 2022. Cristian, Mark's foreman for the project, was excellent the entire way. He always made it clear what the next step was going to be, and why. We had the floor raised and leveled and Cristian ended up suggesting a wall versus just poles and new footers, because of the way our floor joists were constructed. This also allowed them to add shelves in the basement for us, which was an unexpected bonus. They then demoed the entire kitchen, including the old-plaster ceiling and reframed everything to be square and level. Then Christian laid out the entire cabinet design since we contracted Mark to custom build all the cabinets for the kitchen instead of just the one corner unit. It was a good thing we did, because when he did that he noticed several design errors from the designer that would have been problematic if we had bought pre-built cabinets. However, Cristian was able to simply adapt the design on the fly and keep the kitchen looking great (Mark took lots of pictures during the process, so should be available on his website). The project took close to 8 weeks from start of demolition to completion and we were extremely pleased with them the entire way. Cristian and his crew were always extremely attentive to details and always willing to work with us if we had questions or design thoughts (including discussing any merits or negatives of our thoughts, in case we were overthinking things!). We wouldn't hesitate to use Mark again and plan on having them back soon to do at least one bathroom remodel, as Marks' crews can handle electrical, plumbing, siding, etc. with no problems."
