"I worked with Junior and Sharon to design the plan and pick out materials. The design was a bit unconventional and required moving walls, piping and rerouting plumbing and electrical to keep a tub and add a double vanity. Junior and Sharon were professional, responsive and very enjoyable to work with. Their connections with tile, paint and supplies made selecting the products easy and fun, as well. They have a great eye for detail and design! Junior had stated it would take 6 to 8 weeks to complete my project. As most projects have issues that come up, I anticipated it would take longer. I was more than pleasantly surprised when the job completed in just 5 weeks, including a week "off" due to my vacation and waiting on a backorder. Junior's estimation was right on the money! Finishing the job earlier than expected is amazing. Once the project began, Jason, the general contractor, gave daily updates by phone in the evening and came to the job nearly every day to handle the project. Jason is professional, prompt in responding and easy to work with. On site, Henry, the crew leader, was also very professional, pleasant to work with and very responsive to the needs of his workers, the project and my requests. The entire crew was just as professional and pleasant to work with. Each day, they came promptly, set up, polite to each other, my family and home, worked efficiently and professionally, then cleaned up each evening before leaving. The entire staff of VKB Kitchen and Bath were amazing to work with. But even more to the point, their workmanship was top notch. Every detail was taken care of from paint matching, molding work, drywall and finish work, material setting, care of materials and the finished project turned out better than I had expected. I've worked with many contractors over the years. I recommend few to others and do not write reviews for most. That is not the case with VKB Kitchen and Bath. I recommend them for any kitchen and bath job you may need done for your home. He came into a job that had been royally screwed up by a prior contractor (see review of Stevenson & Sons). He thoroughly inspected the property, prepared a detailed bid, gave us advice on the most important items and delivered a bid that could work with our budget and the existing lender requirements. His entire crew were professional and consciencious. Devin delivered on time, on budget with high quality work. He kept us informed throughout the process. The portico he built is frequently the subject of compliments by our neighbors (and people just driving by). We will use Devin to continue improving our home. "APX turned out to be the best option for us. Originally recommended by one of our neighbors we selected APX because it offered a fair price and because Alex gave her sage advice to help finalize what we wanted to do. Under his contract we had to pay for the labor and materials separately with the materials being reimbursed as they were purchased either by ourselves or by the contractor. This was kind of a good thing because my wife wanted to take a lot of time to pick just the right tile and other furnishings for the remodel. In addition, Alex helped us pick out the material materials, actually coming to the floor decor store and to Home Depot with us. He and his employees actually picked up the stainless steel. Bathtub to make sure that the one we actually got didn’t have any chips or blemishes was a common problem I saw in the reviews for all the stainless steel bathtubs.. He also picked up the heavy tiles. The construction did a very nice job and it looks great."
