In addition, the exterior of our house need to be painted and there were a great deal of shingles or trim that was rotted and needed to be replaced. George and his team did an outstanding job, kept us informed as they went along and completed everything on time and on budget. We couldn't be happier with how the house looks. "I was happy with the work done by Matt and his crew on my roof replacement. Of the highlights, Matt excelled at customer service. I had spoken to several contractors during the bidding process and Matt clearly stood out as someone to provide detailed guidance and credible advice on the project. As my roof was being replaced as part of an insurance claim, Matt took the initiative to bring in additional contractors to build out an initial estimate for all of the work, to get things moving with the insurance company, which was a huge help. Matt took things a bit further and spoke directly with the insurance company regarding details of my roof and other work that was not started yet and was able to help me gain significantly more coverage than originally provided! Matt was always available for questions and promptly returned my calls and emails throughout the process. In one instance, I had requested that they hold off on installation of the ice and water shield one day due to the cold temperatures. Matt agreed to this with no hesitation, even though it required them to work the weekend to complete the work. Per my inspection throughout the roofing process and after, everything looked good and I found only a few things that were missed, which Matt took care of immediately. Some mess and nails were left behind after the work, but it was fairly minimal. Due to the scale of the work, Matt / MMP did bring in subcontractors to perform much of the standard roofing work. I would have appreciated if MMP was more forthcoming about this earlier in the process. MMP had someone from their team on-site for the entire process, but I think that they could have kept a closer eye on the sub-contractors work. For the more challenging tasks, Matt came out and did the work himself. He and his team worked hard throughout the process, working long hours and through the weekend to get everything completed in a timely manner and reduce risk of water leakage in case of rain. I will certainly consider MMP for future work on my house."

I received a spreadsheet every week with expenses as compared to budget including all materials and labor. Each step of the project including consultations, advice for saving $$ as well as suggestions for improvements in existing HVAC systems were valuable. All contractors were 100% reliable, professional, were creative and constructive in addressing challenges that emerge in any project and demonstrated outstanding follow through. The shop is extremely comfortable even on the coldest days and maintains even humidity for the wood. The project was on budget, on time and exceeded expectations, particularly with regard to workmanship, communication and professionalism."

"The craftsmanship was good but all else was mind numbingly painful. If you are considering this contractor be sure to carefully inspect the contract as this contractor will 'nickel and dime' you. Every detail needs to be called out even drilling holes, as I learned, is expensive. You will need to be thick skinned as well as I was insulted several times but I just wanted the job to be over."

"We highly recommend Edian Alexis, of Alexis Home Improvement, who we worked with for a couple months to renovate our decks. Edian was amazing to work with--he is an incredibly talented craftsman, as well as being extremely professional, knowledgeable, skilled, flexible, and patient. He was always willing to take lots of time out to explain all of the choices he suggested (for example, why he recommends the particular brand of composite decking, why we had to go with particular railing choices for structural reasons, etc). We also had a tough time making design choices, and he was always very patient with us. We got quotes from a few different contractors, and he provided a very competitive quote. Edian's mother lives in JP, and he owns a home in Roslindale with his family; we appreciate that he lives in our community as well. When we were hiring a contractor, we wanted to choose someone that we could develop a long term relationship with and we are so glad we went with him. Last but not least, we are extremely happy with the outcome of his work (photos attached)! Everything came out even more beautiful than we had anticipated. We only have great things to say about him. "Absolutely AMAZING job! We have been searching for a general contractor for almost 6 months to take care of several projects on the exterior of our home. We had worked with Stellar Painting before when our insurance company paid for a door and window repair. After a phenomenal job and a great experience, I called them again to see if, by some miracle, they could handle a list of repairs for the exterior of our home. After coming out, giving an estimate, and providing a start time - I couldn't believe how quickly everything was done! They fixed everything (and that was one heck of a list)! Our deck is so beautiful, I can't stop staring at it. Light poles that a previous masonry company installed are standing tall and proud (versus lump-sided like they have been for years now!) The list goes on. The exterior of our home looks brand new thanks to them. I can't believe how quick and easy it all was.
