"Gil from NE carpentry did a lot of work for me. The most impressive was that Gil worked with me to repair my interior front porch after a massive leak during a storm destroyed it. Because my house is on the beach and very exposed, every other contractor declined the job. Gil and his team were very rigorous and patient and they did succeed in waterproofing the porch. They did rebuild it and did fantastic work. The team communicates well, is always on time, does a great job and always clean after the workday. Their prices are very fair and transparent. "All in all, very well. It was difficult to get everyone and everything ordered, delivered, installed, and "up and running" on time. The delays we experienced were NOT contractor related ...but rather due to the high-end imported bathroom fixtures (which took forever to arrive from Germany) and delays by the town inspectors. The GC (Dermot) was understanding and patient and dealt w/ every "surprise" as though he'd expected it! He had good ideas and made excellent suggestions for improvements which relieved our concerns and answered our questions. The Royal Team demonstrated different capability levels. If a mistake was made a call went out to the GC and it was corrected ASAP. The town inspectors found no deficits at the final inspection. In summary: We were exceptionally happy w/ the lead plumber (David) who was experienced and proficient w/ fixtures from Germany and Switzerland. A second plumber and his apprentice were less comfortable w/ the higher-end items and installations. Mistakes were made. We were compensated for the mistakes. No argument, no questions asked. (That plumber did not stay on our job until the completion.) The team of 5 electricians were very good. We found that we needed new electrical work done from the roof top to the cellar. Nothing was up to code in "this old house". . It's perfect now. The duo installing the tiles were EXCELLENT. They installed 12"x24" polished Carrara marble tiles on all four walls... They measured three times and cut once! They did an equally excellent job installing the stone floor, They are highly skilled, exceptional workmen, and a credit to their profession. We started this job in November 2016 and weren't able to finish until mid-March 2017 ( the sink and vanity finally arrived from Germany.) It was a long job through the winter. Everyone made the effort to removed their shoes when they came in the house, protected the carpeting w/ adhesive plastic covering, cleaned up after themselves, and were as careful w/ everything as possible. The rest of the work and fine carpentry was done by the GC "himself". I think it's safe to say, "He's seen it all and done it all". It was a pleasure to work w/ Dermot and the team from Royal Contracting."

"I was buying a new house, the home inspector had some questions about the attic joists and suggested I have a professional take a look at them. I needed it done quickly and I called three contractors. Matt from MMP was the only one that called me back the same day and agreed to come look at them the next day. He showed up on time, suggested a remedy and gave me an estimate. After buying the house I had him complete the work. It was done as promised in a very tight and dirty attic space, they cleaned up before leaving. I also chose Matt to replace my roof after getting three estimates. The crew did the complete job, chimney flashing, ice and water shield, small roof repair and venting channels in the attic. Clean up was great, no mess left in the yard. He was not the lowest estimate but all the work was done without any additional charges. I was very pleased with the results."

"Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors : Honesty, timely and effecient and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. I had a leak in my roof with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utilitiy room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and come up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. This contractor is the real deal. If you have a problem give him a call today. He will make your life easier and resolve your problems quickly. For the job done right call Liam Neary."

"Scott and his crew were absolutely fantastic and we would hire them again in a heartbeat. Scott is incredibly professional, communicative, and prompt. Additionally, the budgeting process he uses is wholly transparent relative to other contractors we have worked with and we loved this approach of his. All in all we found working with Scott to be an absolutely amazing experience that you won't find much of in the Boston area--he is truly a real hidden gem of a contractor. The cherry on top for us was that he managed to get us in two months ahead of schedule!! We didn't have the largest job in the world to take care of, but it was a significant one in terms of the integrity of our house and a bit of an unusual one as far as finding contractors who had experience in dealing with issues of rafter spread. Due to the age of our home (pretty common in the Boston area), it was an improperly framed stick-and-beam frame from the get-go insufficient to support the heavy snow loads we get in the area and needed structural reinforcement in the attic to prevent the rafter spread from compromising the exterior walls of our home. Not only did Scott fully appreciate the scope of the problem quickly, he reassured us he had extensive experience correcting a number of these issues, and together with his structural engineer devised a creative fix relative to proposals from other contractors that preserved a significant amount of headroom in our attic should we ever want to finish it."
