I have a crawl space and my washer, drier and water heater plus my water softner are all in the same small room with no space to put pans under the water heater or water softner. And I have hardwood floors so whenever the water heater went out my floors would be ruined. He moved the water softner into my bedroom closet with a pan under it and put in a drain. Then was able to put a full size pan under my water heater and a drain which he hooked up to the plumbing under my crawl space. No more ruined floors!!
