"Had Nick Rattini as our technician - great job overall. I wanted to replace our Rheem 40 gallon water heater with a Rheem 50 gallon water heater and Burke Plumbing will let you use customer supplied appliances - up front charge was $640 which is competitive, my assumption is that price includes an extra $100 for using a customer supplied heater. They added another $100 for modifying the existing plumbing to accommodate the larger tank which, in my mind, was reasonable. They showed up on time and the installation took about 2 hours. I had hot water one hour later. All in all, very pleased with the experience from Burke Plumbing which has been around since the 1930s."

"Mayo Plumbing is different from all the rest. They use data and research to inform their work. Before calling Mayo I had two different plumbers look at our new (very old) house. The first said, "St. Louis has hard water - you NEED a water softener." The second said, "St. Louis has great water - you DO NOT need a water softener." Mayo said, "What did the test results say? No one can tell you you need a water softener without testing your water first." BINGO. They tested our water and determined we DO NOT need a water softener. Same approach for our broken shower. The mayo plumber actually researched the issue, spending time with the paperwork and on the phone with the Kohler rep to determine exactly what we need to do, before making a wild guess and upselling us. "This summer our basement flooded not once, but twice.  It is a finished basement and the flooding created quite a problem.  We had just "cleaned up" after the first "flood" and were trying to find some one to repair the problem when our basement flooded again.  Several contractors came to our home and gave us estimates.  All but one contractor was quick to tell us "This was only an estimate.  The price WAS NOT firm because they had no way to know what kind of problems they may encounter."  Only one contractor broke it down by "sections."  If it was just the sump pumps it would be this much; if we needed drain tile it would be this much more etc.etc.  Paul was also the only one to guarantee his work if we did what he suggested.  We agreed on a price and work was to start the next week.  Paul Noticed our water soaked carpets and volunteered industrial dehumidifiers, and fans.  (These rent for around $300.00 each a day!)  Paul and his crew brought over the fans and dehumidifiers and set everything up.  When the work began, we had a very happy surprise.  Unebeknown to us we had drain tile.  If Paul were not an honest man, we would have paid for something we did not need. Our sump pumps were replaced, and a few minor problems corrected  and our basement has been dry ever since.  To this day, I still do not know what a drain tile is, but if I ever need one (or more)  I will call

"Every single item that he has done at my house has been beyond excellent. Always professional in his work and timely. I have not had any issues with any work he has done and will continue to use his services. He installed a sump pump after the sump pit filled up and my basement got water. He cleaned the excess water, left a fan to air dry the basement, installed a sump pump with drainage to outside the house perfectly. 
I needed my driveway power washed and entrance, he did it in a timely manner and it looked amazing.
