"The work was done in three parts over a period of several months this past summer/fall. We live in house orignally built in 1940 and due to the exceedingly heavy rainstorms we have had over past two summers we found that the foundation was no longer able to keep the water out. First we had the back foundation wall dug out, fully re-tarred to prevent water coming in about half way down the wall and dribbling down, and the soil replaced in one long day. About two months later an internal drainage trench was installed along base of the foundation on the west and north sides of the house and hooked into an existing sump pump on the east side of the basement. All of this work was accomplished in one day also. Soon thereafter a drain was installed in a west side window well and attached to the drainage pipe. The first and second parts of the work was overseen by the same foreman. He was very professional and kept us informed throughout. His crew worked seemingly without stop and meticulously cleaned up the work areas. The window well drain work was took about 4 hours from start to finish and work area was thoroughly cleaned up. Since the work was completed we have not had experienced the extended torrential rains that prompted these repairs in the first place and that would put all of this work to the test. However, weekly sump pump activity reports indicate that ground water is being moved away from the foundation on a regular basis and most importantly is that the basement is dry. All of the people we came into contact with on the phone, and as the work was proposed and performed were friendly, answered questions readily, and worked efficiently."

"Well. I have a sewer backup system that Permaseal installed in 2012. Never had a problem with it and it solved my sewer backup problem. I am supposed to have it inspected annually. I skipped a few years by laziness. They inspected this year. All was in order. They did however recommend that I replace a pump that is beyond its expected useful life and also batteries that are beyond their life. Those will be done in September or October. At same time I asked them to look at a floor drain in an unfinished portion of my basement. Water had come up. They diagnosed that my kitchen sink was backing up into the floor drain and fixed the problem by rodding the pipe under the floor drain. They were prompt and efficient. I also arranged to prepay for 5 years of servicing."

"We highly recommend US Waterproofing. Unfortunately, after repeated issues (we’ve had water getting through a basement door, water backing up from drain/sewer pipe, foundation cracks – all which were addressed) we now have had issues with hydrostatic water pressure delivering a great deal of water to our finished basement. Only one solution – drain tiles and sump pump installation. US Waterproofing was outstanding, every step of the way. They communicated clearly what was needed, and much to our surprise, what was not. They did not ever try to sell us anything that was not needed – only what was – installation of drain tile, window well drains, sump pump, and all work related. All of the crews involved were outstanding – in particular, the crews installing the drain tile and sump pump. The supervisor clearly and concisely explained every step – and when issues arose, they were dealt with promptly. The teams removing drywall and reinstalling also did very good work, and were very responsive. Everything was done correctly, and on schedule The work is now complete – and the basement is back to normal. I commend USW on all facets – they explained everything, did not try to oversell anything, and were responsive to issues as they arose. "The estimator (Kaz) was prompt, informative, and responsive to my many queries before I signed a contract. The project manager and workers were all very prompt, professional, and courteous. They were respectful of our property and that of our neighbors, taking off their shoes when inside and cleaning up their work. I asked them to run an additional line from one of my downspouts, which was done without incident. We also worked together to problem solve an issue related to the sump discharge line. On day 1, they cut our buried cable line because it was marked incorrectly. However, the foreman called the company and it was resolved/fixed within a few hours (it has taken more than a day in the past when I’ve called!). I was quite surprised at how they cleaned up after excavating for the 6 inch drainage pipes. They estimated 5 days to complete the work and finished in 3 days. While I was not excited to spend that much to fix the problem, we knew we needed to address the improper drainage. Additionally, while I feel that I know what needed to be done and probably could have done so myself for less money, it would have taken me 3 months, not 3 days with my schedule. Overall, I’ve been pleased with the work and may have them come back and address an additional drainage issue in our yard in the future."
