Excellent customer service and communication from the office. Fast response time to schedule the estimate. The technician was on time for the appointment. Ben was friendly and considerate. He took time to evaluate thoroughly and explain everything without making me feel silly or trying to oversell work that wasn't necessarily needed. I appreciate the true professionalism and quality of service I experienced.

Faucets, Fixtures and Pipes Repair or Replace
$50,000
My regular plumber, that is great, Stephen's Plumb & Heat was busy so I tried Blanton and it really cost me. I needed several jobs - listed below with the Blanton quote. Replace toilet fill valve/flapper $624. Replace a garbage disposal $688.50. That's labor only as I had already purchased the new device. Replace a leaky Delta faucet cartridge $810. Clear a bath sink drain $350. Rod a tub drain $450. Grand total $2887.75! I declined and the Blanton plumber immediately dropped the price to $250 per drain. Still high but I chose to have lines rodded as he was already there. He started the plumbing work around 9:35am. He opens the sink pop-up and finds paper in the pop-up stopping the water and removes it. No rodding necessary. He does have to rod the tub. Both jobs are complete and I sign for payment 21 minutes later at 9:56am. He charged me $500. I realized the billing error, that I was charged for 2 roddings. I called the company to no avail. Invoices below.

My tech, Anthony C, installed a new water heater at the house in the afternoon. When he realized he was shorted some needed parts/materials for the job, he went to a local big-box store to purchase what he needed to finish the job and complete the service. Anthony was courteous and answered all my questions during the service call. A true professional.

Anthony was right on time, very respectful of my place and cleaning up after working under the kitchen sink. Completely spotless afterwards. Showed me the instruction manual and pointed out when to replace filters to my reverse osmosis water system. And the salesman the week before was a fair negotiator. Overall great experience. Todd F

PLEASE READ - I have been a client of J Blanton for years and had a great experience between 2014-2020. I have used their services multiple times since then and the plumbers have been new each time, have been generally nice, but very over-priced and recently have not been able to fix the problems, have not completed the services they have been contracted for, no-call no-showed and so many other small and big issues. I have been trying to solve this with their managers, but nobody calls me back or responds to my contact. The dispatch center is not local and most of the folks I have been able to talk to seem to be in some call center. I would NOT recommend calling J Blanton!

They went into some details as to what work would need to be done. Along the way they pointed out that my water intake valve was old that they often leak and that I should have a new more modern valve installed. I agreed to having a new valve installed along with a pan at the bottom of the heater and revised water drainage. Since my old water intake valve might leak I told them that I would arrange to have the water shut off for the job. My building is an older renovated industrial building and at the time of the renovation individual water shutoff valve was not installed in each individual unity so water shutoff required shutting the water to the entire building and would need to be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. Then for some reason one of the workers started to fiddle with that old water intake valve after telling me that these often leak. And sure enough it started to leak. The workers tried to stop the leak to no avail so they ended up shutting off the valve. They then notified their project manager to inform him of the situation and then returned to inform me that the manager would be in touch with me as to what to do next. All of this took place in the mid-afternoon around 130/2PM. The manager did not get in touch with me until after 5PM and it was not a phone call but by text msg. His text msg basically repeated that these old valves leak when they are tinkered with and that his guys did me a favor by shutting off the valve to "buy" me some time. Then he went on in his text msg that the reason why I am so upset is that I didn't like the high estimate I got for the project. ( I have saved all those text msgs). That was it, no offer to send a guy over to fix the valve. So I had to contact another plumber and since it was after 5PM I could not arrange for the building water shutoff for the repair for today; the work will not be done until tomorrow morning January 16th, two days later, two days without hot water and not enough water pressure to even take a shower.

On August 11th, 2024, we discovered a foul odor in our basement and decided to reach out to J. Blanton Plumbing Sewer & Drain. Despite two earlier visits that were both pleasant and overpriced, we scheduled an appointment for the next day, August 12th, between 8 AM and 12 PM. By 1 PM, not only had no one arrived, but we also hadn't received a single call. My husband had to take time out of his day to call and check in, only to be informed that our appointment had been shifted to the afternoon. He updated them with my contact information as he left for work. I waited anxiously, only to be repeatedly let down. By 4 PM, with still no sign of a technician, I called again and was assured that our appointment was still on schedule. Fast forward to 6:36 PMâ after hours of wasted timeâ I was forced to reschedule because no one was going to be home. Despite an apology, the rescheduled appointment was once again a failure, moving from an 8 AM to 12 PM window to 9 AM to 1 PM, with zero communication and no technician in sight. This entire ordeal has been nothing short of a nightmare. The lack of professionalism, complete disregard for our time, and utter failure to communicate are inexcusable. Not one courtesy call to inform us of the constant changes. J. Blanton Plumbing Sewer & Drain has proven to be unreliable, disrespectful, and a total waste of time. I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone who values their time or money.

This company is King of over promising and under delivering on their promises. Our first two calls to them were amazing. I needed a gas line redone so our newstove would sit flush against the wall and they did a great job. On the same day they also cleared out our sewer line and gave us a 30 day warranty. 9 days later it clogged and they came out to say we needed a secondary clean out installed in the yard, the job quote was just under $8,000. We agreed and we're told Friday they would call Jule and pull permits on Saturday June 22, 2024 the job would be completed. The plumber came out started to dig the hole and realized Jule never came. Called them and they came out marked the yard and they continued to dig the hole. After the hole was completed said they'd be back Monday morning to complete the job and asked if they could leave the fence down to save them time for the backhoe. We agreed and set the appointment for Monday. Received a confirmation text for 8am-12pm. Monday 11am came and we received an appointment text that said they'd be in Tuesday.. My wife called and they said the confirmation text was for a call to set an appointment (complete BS). I called and they said someone would be there Monday by 6pm to complete the job. 6pm no show I called and they said someone was on site and they weren't. 6:30 someone showed up but they didn't have the tools to complete the job. They put on the fence and said I'd like to say Id be here tomorrow but that's up to dispatch. We get a text saying they'd be here Tuesday July 26th 2024 to complete the job. Understandable as we had storms on Monday. Now at 10am another text saying it's for Wednesday July 27th 2024 with no call just a text. Call to find out and no one can give me answer. My advise is to stay away from J Blanton plumbing. Sad part is they do have great techs. The dispatch team is full of empty promises! Update: They completed the job and 6 days later I had another back up. The cleared out the blockage and are now saying I need to spend more money to complete the repair to guarantee their work. Guess the 1 year warranty on the last repair was a sales tactic. Stay away if you value your wallet and don't want to deal with headaches

Faucets, Fixtures and Pipes Repair or Replace
I hired this company to unclog a bathroom drain which they did successfully. I called them back when I had another problem where the bathroom had a leaky pipe and was impacting the kitchen below it. They quoted me $2400 which I thought was absolutely outrageous. However, I agreed. On the day of the appointment no one showed up. I requested my thousand dollar deposit back and hired another company who came in and did it for $600. Obviously I will not be using this company ever again.
