The job went very well, I requested an estimate, and the representative came by and took a look at my water and system. Gave me the price options, and I asked when you can do the installation? He said now if you like. I had a new water softener installed within a few hours. Awsome service

He was on time and took out my old system and installed the new one. The price was exactly what was quoted. Excellent service! He even called 5 days later to check on the install. Would highly recommend them.

Mr. Goodwater has a great crew and everything went smoothly with the removal of the old softener and installation of the new one and addition of the spin filter. Since there is a great deal of lime in the water it was coating the beads and making it difficult for the softener to do its job properly. We are glad that Mr. Goodwater has this option because none of the previous softeners worked very well or for very long. This should help in the longevity of the mechanisms. Everyone worked as a team and got the job done in a smooth and efficient manner. We are very happy with the work and products installed.

repair would have cost more than it was worth for the age of the unit, so replaced with their recommended product. The cost of their product was much higher than what you can purchase at the local hardware stores but felt it was worth the investment if it lasts longer. The servicemen took longer than expected because they were waiting for water pressure to release, rather than opening all the faucets initially. Otherwise the product so far is working well.

I saw the good rating for Mr Goodwater so I called and setup an appt. to have our water tested. They were very nice and professional and explained how the new system would work. In 2 days the softner was installed and we are very pleased.

I am new to the area, the house has an existing water softner unit which I was not familiar with. I called Mr Goodwater to come out and make sure the unit was working properly and explain the basics of the system to me. I called Friday afternoon they came out Saturday morning did a complete check and run through for me, put my mind at ease on the system.
Very friendly, professional and reasonably priced. I have no doubt I will use them in the future if any problems arise.

Whatever the part was going on it was sending over a lot more water than we needed so we were going through a lot of salt. Well, the part finally failed and since that time our salt consumption has been way, way down. Whatever he did it has saved me time and money and effort.

i talked with a specialist in my home. we bought the top of the line system. i had trouble with the top of the line price.
Since the results are not readily visible, often wonder if I should have shopped around first.

1. American Pure Water was very pleasant and professional to deal with. They came out the day after I called to inspect my old water softener. It was clearly broken. When the technician opened the case on the controller head unit, broken parts came tumbling out. He advised me that it could be repaired and that they were willing to do that, but because of the age of the unit, it would be more practical to replace it with a new unit.

He performed a hard water test while he was here and gave me several units to choose from.
The installation was scheduled for the next day.
The installer was also very courteous and professional. The installation was neat and completed to my satisfaction. He was thorough in explaining the operation of the unit and answered all of my questions.
The old unit was removed. Nothing in my home was damaged or disturbed. 
While he was here, I asked him if there was any way I could tidy up the installation of the drain pipe on my recently installed central A/C because I wasn't happy with the way it was left lying on the floor next to a drain opening. He took care of it for me as a courtesy and did not charge me for parts or labor. (It was a small issue and required only a few inexpensive plastic fittings, but I would have paid for them if he had asked. I was impressed by this.)
I would use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.
As for the price, I'm convinced that their price was fair and reasonable. I suspect that I could have saved money if I had gone to an appliance store, but I'm not sure that I would have had the same quality of workmanship or that the water softener would have been as good.

They were nice and there was nothing that I disliked about them. They were very friendly, openly explained things and I had a good experience with them.

It went perfect for me. I just like the way they explained everything. They were very prompt. They followed through with any questions that I had. I was concerned about whether it was softening well and they came out and checked it for me without charging. They are a good company. We are satisfied with them.

Both rep. and installer were here on time.  A.P.W.'s price was within our range and the installer did a very professional job.

To effectively describe how wonderful this company is, I must start from the beginning.
May 2, 2013 we made an offer on a home that has a well and no access to city water (even though it is in the Rockford proper). We had the well sample test performed (by a well water expert) and taken to the local government office for testing. The result was not good, the water was full of bacteria namely coliform. We had the well chloroformed and checked by another well expert. The well was tested the required 10 days later and unfortunately the result was the same.
Because we love this house so much we simultaneously started calling water purification companies to see if they could help with the unsafe well water. To say that I spent hours on the telephone with companies over a 3 county area does not begin to cover the amount of time involved. Then I found Cindy Polk at American Pure!!!!!
I had originally talked with companies that the seller recommended- 6 of them- and was not happy with the responses. Three of them had to look up choliform, one stated that they would just put a chlorinator on our well even when I advised him that the government agency stated that the chlorinator would be a waste of money. Four of the companies were out of the area and would only come to Rockford once a month. When talking about prices, they ran the gamut; $1000 thru $3000 which included installation.
Again, then I found Cindy!
We have a 6 year old grandchild that has a compromised immune system and juvenile diabetes. If we could not get quality water in our new home his health would be at great risk-therefore we would have to keep looking for our perfect home. Cindy listened to the long dialogue regarding the water, the tests, and the pressure to use other companies due to pricing (seller was responsible for the well quality before closing), and more importantly the safety of our grandchild when using the water.  She is a great listener.
Within 2 hours of speaking with Cindy a water sample had been taken and was on its way to be tested. Now this was before we had even discussed that we would use their company! Cindy explained that she wanted to have additional testing performed to see what system would be best for us and to see if they could help us at all.
The test returned the same as the others-choliform again.
After speaking with Cindy, hearing her proposal and costs we decided to go with American Pure. The cost was competitive albeit higher than what the seller wanted to pay, they were local and family owned, their reputation was impeccable, the customer service was excellent, and Cindy was the epitome of expert, pal, and sympathizer!
OH NO says the seller, you do not need this type of system and we will not pay-------After 3 closing dates, 3 install appointments with Cindy, several near cancel the sale from both parties we negotiated until American Pure was the system chosen. This made our out of pocket at closing more, but to be honest we would have paid it all if necessary; no regrets at all.
We have  been enjoying our UV and water softener system now for about 2 weeks and are loving it! Delicious and safe well water for drinking, soft clean water for showers (it has done wonders for my hair and skin) and super clean laundry (no discolored water to stain the white clothing), and all of our new appliances will last years longer because there is no lime or iron to gunk them up.

Set up appointment to observe issues with my water softener.  Employee from American Pure Water was very professional-showed me the issues and offered several options to purchase new or to repair old.  Showed me several options of new softeners with description of all shared with me . No pushy sales at all!!  Made decision  to purchase.  The following Saturday employee from American Pure Water arrived to install new water softener and hauled my old one away. Within forty five minutes I had a new softener installed and understood how all functions and what I need to do (if needed).   Throughout entire process employees were friendly, professional, not pushy, offered many options, seemed to have much knowledge and strong belief of their products. On time for both appointments-no waiting around.  Highly recommend American Pure Water to anyone searching or just wanting information on water softeners, drinking water systems, air purification, needed salt delivery, or in need of iron &/or sulfur removal.  As they state, "We have what you are looking for!"

Service tech was very professional, cleaned up his work very tidy and done in about an hour. When he was done, showed me everything that was done and expalined in detail.  He asked me to make sure I understood what he just expalined and then proceeded to explain how to change the filters.  He left the literature and an order form to get the right filters next year.

I contacted American Pure Water to have a water softener and reverse osmosis system installed.  They promptly scheduled an appointment and came out to check my water.  Once I had installed my new sink in the kitchen (the kitchen had just been remodeled) the technicians came out to install both systems. There was a problem with the reverse osmosis system shortly after installation and they quickly came out to replace a defective pump.  They are extremely nice people, both in the field and in the office, and I would highly recommend their services.
