You said:
Make the following review as professional sounding as possible...The employees that came out to raise our sunken garage floor and footing were wonderful but beware of corporate. I am extremely happy with the work the men did on my foundation but corporate is another matter. They raised my foundation in early December and they were to place the poly level undeneath the concrete the next week to fill the void between the raised floor and earth. However corporate put end of the year sales and managerial bonuses ahead of the customer. I'm not to receive the poly level until April as it stands now because of the frost line. This oversight on corporate's part makes my garage unusable for the entire snowy Chicago winter. The company left me without the use of my garage for the entire upcoming winter season. If I would have been told that only half the job could of been completed I would have postponed the work until spring. No one informed me of the oversight on the company's part

Blown In Insulation Install or Upgrade
The crew was great. Communication was excellent and the work was completed on time. Workers cleaned up well after job each day. I would recommend. The 2nd day they noticed bathroom fan ventilation was not installed in our 20+ year addition. That work is scheduled for the near future. Thanks. Great work.

Water Heater Installation and Replacement
Victor installed a 40 gallon gas water heater. Victor gave me options during the estimate. Victor installed the gas water heater the same day. Victor was very professional during the whole process. I will probably hire Perma-seal again If all employees at Perma-seal are like Victor.

We have had a disastrous and extremely frustrating experience with PermaSeal. PermaSeal installed a drain tile system at our house. Months later we realized that they broke a pipe that they installed which resulted in the drain tile system pouring water into our ejector pit and flooding our septic system. There was a huge hole in the pipe, and it was grossly negligent that it was installed this way. This problem flooded our back yard with sewage and caused several thousand dollars worth of damage/costs. When we realized what was happening, they sent out a tech who found the broken pipe and completed the repair. However, when we asked that they reimburse us for the costs we have had to incur or give us a partial refund to cover them they have completely dropped the ball. We have called the manager we were told was handling the situation multiple times only to hear that he’s waiting to hear from another manager who’s handling the case. They won’t give us any contact info for that manager and say that they will reach out. It has been a month since we notified them of the problem, and all they can tell us is that “they’ve passed our case on and we’ll hear from someone.” When you are a potential customer, their communication is excellent and timely. However, once they have your money, it seems they couldn’t care less about if the job was done right or addressing problems. We paid PermaSeal an enormous amount of money for the drain tile system, and thousands more for damage/costs that they caused. We shouldn’t have to wait weeks for a phone call.

We used Perma Seal for several big projects—waterproofing our basement and replacing our concrete back yard and sidewalks. We had drain tiles, sump pumps and a dehumidifier installed, along with extensive concrete work outside. We dealt with a variety of crews and found everyone to be very communicative, professional, and knowledgeable. They did great work and kept us informed at every step of the process. When we had a questions, they were very responsive. All in all, we'd recommend and use them again.
