Tom from Modern Air arrived and within 2 minutes told me the compressor did not need replacing but the fan motor did. He carried out the work there and the and it was a much much cheaper fix. Since a crew was running behind, he came himself to do the work late in the afternoon knowing that I needed the vent cleaning that day before we moved in. Ken did an amazingly through job of cleaning and disinfecting, and shared his knowledge about HVAC systems and duct routing the whole time. He analyzed our system capacity, checked the duct routing in the attic, and gave us options for improving our HVAC system in future when the existing equipment is ready for replacement. Anyway, the HVAC got it's annual maintenance, the mold got cleaned and the company got more money."
