Tom from Modern Air arrived and within 2 minutes told me the compressor did not need replacing but the fan motor did. He carried out the work there and the and it was a much much cheaper fix. Since a crew was running behind, he came himself to do the work late in the afternoon knowing that I needed the vent cleaning that day before we moved in. Ken did an amazingly through job of cleaning and disinfecting, and shared his knowledge about HVAC systems and duct routing the whole time. He analyzed our system capacity, checked the duct routing in the attic, and gave us options for improving our HVAC system in future when the existing equipment is ready for replacement. "Our current air conditioner was 12 years old and had been repaired by another  company 10 months ago. We knew we had to buy a new HVAC got 4 estimates (not from D&W at the time )but put off purchasing. It broke down again in May. I knew I wanted only a Trane and We called  D&W  late in the day on a Monday. The Owner, Randy, came Tuesday and gave me a price and told me that they could install on Friday. Wednesday morning he dropped off a portable air conditioner to help us out until the Installation On Friday William and Michael arrived and began installation. It turned out that the Manufacturer's warehouse had mixed up major parts with another installation in Bradenton. Randy drove to Bradenton and retrieved the parts necessary and brought them back because he did not want us to be without air conditioning another day. They completed their work at 6:30pm...9 1/2 hours of steady working. Every person we dealt with at D&W was courteous, prompt, friendly and knowledgable. It was a pleasure to do business with them and I would heartily recommend them.

We hired Bill Bowers A/C and Heating to revamp our â tiredâ 23 year old A/C and Heat Pump and to vacuum and clean all of our duct work. When we needed an estimate, Dennis (the owner) took time out on his own day off to come out and inspect our existing system. Dennis did a thorough job of inspecting everything that was needed so that he could provide as accurate of an estimate as possible. He was up in our attic several times (even fixed some duct work that needed attention; at no cost), spent a great deal of time in our mechanical closet and inspected the main returns, duct work and vents inside our home. All in all, Dennis probably spent 90+ minutes evaluating and gathering all the info he needed for the estimate while taking the additional time to thoroughly answer all the questions I had. Let me tell you, I received four estimates from other HVAC companies and none of those four estimators spent nearly the time Dennis did. When installation and tear out day arrived, Bill Bowers A/C and Heating team arrived on time, were professional, considerate, friendly, and respectful to us and our property while working hard until the job was completed. At the end of the job, the team lead walked us through everything that was done and answered all of our questions. We felt that Bill Bowers A/C and Heating had a dedicated and experienced staff who wanted nothing but to ensure our A/C and heating project was done to our complete satisfaction. "Had my new rental house ducts and dryer cleaned after i got ripped off by the $99 whole house duct cleaning gimmick. I called fresh air services,Darren answered my call right away his pricing was transparent and was less than other quotes I received. He showed up with his teammate and they went right to work cleaned my 10 ducts and dryer in about an hour. They actually take the vents down and send this brush hooked to their vacuum into the system. For a small fee i had them coat my return with this anti microbial coating made specifically for air conditioning and boy does it look so much better than the fiberglass duct board yellow.He even got on the roof and took a video to show me the vent was free of clogs. Their equipment was very impressive. I just returned to the home for the first time in about 3 weeks and the fresh smell from their sanitation fog is still detectable in the air. Donâ t get ripped off by the $99 whole house duct cleaning go with the pros at fresh air services"

Not really blaming the service guy, I saw this upsell happen for years at my parents house with every company coming in with the same script. Turned a $50 "deal" into $345. "We received excellent service from Jason at Duct Depot. I did a lot of shopping around and hands down best ac duct cleaning company and for the best prices. Most of the companies I called asking for an estimate, tried to bait me in with the $99 scam. A full blown ac and air duct cleaning that hasn't been done in a long time will never cost you $99 to start with. So what these companies do is once they are in and actually access your ac and ducts, then they tell you how much it really costs and then you feel cornered and pressured to get it done bc they are already there and already have everything open apart. That is not what happened with duct depot. I did a lot of reading and researching, so I don't just jump into anything blindly. The estimates I did with other companies I received were pretty high and non-informative but not with Jason, he explained every bit of the process and was eager to make you happy. The ones that were really high, once I'd tell them I had a lower estimate they would suddenly be willing to take off huge amount of money. Red flag to me, why wouldn't I get the best price to begin with? Not Duct Depot. I got a fair quote right away and I didn't have to feel like I was negotiating a used car sale. After they clean the system, they do show you the before and after pictures. It is amazing how dirty ours was. The cherry on top? After they do the cleaning, they will do the maintenance cleaning for $99 and they recommend to do it again in a few years. The other companies were saying within a year. That made me feel like we really got a company who isn't just about raking in a bunch of money but actually want to be honest and fair with it's customers. That is very hard to come by these days. My neighbors and a friend have used them since I did mine and they are also extremely happy with the results!"
