"Reyes Tree Service worked two days at my residence, First in the front cutting down a tree damaged by the previous drought and taking out an overgrown hedge of volunteer figs against the house wall with overgrown stumps. They excelled in their work and even went beyond what they said they were originally able to do. The second day they trimmed and pruned everything in the back yard, including all of the citrus trees that had never been professionally trimmed or pruned in thirty years, Five crew members worked the entire second day on the backyard and it came out way better than I imagined. I will now probably use them to trim everything on my property at least once a year. All their work was quality and I would definitely recommend them to anyone for the excellent quality of their work and customer service."

"Robert Duran and his crew from 3-D Tree Services, Inc. were top notch today from the quote/survey to completion! I am amazed how quick, efficient, professional and kind this entire team is to work with! This was a tough job (Old/Invasive Pepper Tree). The crew was in sync with each other, allowing the process to be quick and safe. I’m so happy I found them through Home Advisor and the response to my inquiry was quick. Thank you everyone! Referrals will flow!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Planting a palm tree close to your home can provide shade while elevating the beauty of your yard. However, there are a few safety concerns to consider before doing so. You’ll want to opt for a smaller tree with a non-invasive root system. Select a species that won’t grow too tall and choose a planting location that won’t damage your home.

The shepherd’s tree, native to the Kalahari Desert in Africa, holds the record for the deepest known tree roots at over 230 feet deep. Some African communities refer to it as the “Tree of Life” since it provides food, shade, and medicinal properties to the surrounding community.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

Depending on the severity of the damage, a tree might continue healing for years after a split or a break. Saplings can usually bounce back in the spring in one or two seasons, but larger trees might take a few years to regain their former strength. If your tree is showing strong growth and is not dropping limbs, you can consider it healed after the first two seasons.
