This review is over due, Mike had trimmed our trees in 2017 and did an amazing job on all 5 of our oak trees that overgrew. I highly recommend Mike and his team for any of your tree care.

We had Canada Trees Service trimmed more than a dozen trees on our property (these are very big trees). They were on time, Mike (the owner) was there to meet with us. we and very happy with the work performed and will use them again.

They did very nice work. Even my neighbors were impressed. The price was to good to be true. Very nice job of cleaning up. I will hire them again.

Great as usual. I hire Mike and his crew annually and, if I need to, in between. Complete trust. Bonus and a credit to the boss--same crew returning year after year.

It was fine.

Mike came out and walked me through everything. Told me when certain trees should be trimmed and when they shouldn't. Told me it was too early to trim the oaks and would call me when it was time. He called back in early June and we scheduled a date. Crew came on time and were extremely good about cleaning up after themselves. Trees look fantastic. Well shaped and much lighter. Really happy with this service.

They did a good job. A little on the conservative side with how much they pruned the trees, but they seem to really know what they are doing.

Canada Tree Care, saved my tree! We have an about 90 year old Cedrus Deodara Tree. A huge main branch broke. I contacted several arborist companies, I was not impressed with service they offered until Mike Barker, came. He walked up to tree focused on injury, offered first thing Monday morning to stabilize the broken branch so no further damage would be possible [it was Saturday afternoon] and than come back and complete the job. He, his crew and his two sons did an outstanding job, I will have Canada Tree Service come back in Fall to continue a trust worthy service from now on. el

With all the winter storms they were backed up when i reached out to them initially in late November after a tree fall on our hillside lot. When i reached out to them again in Jan it was just before the last of 3 back to back severe storms and I was pretty worried about 3 trees along the slope falling over due to the incessant rains loosing up the soil. Mike was gracious enough to accommodate our request to remove those 3 trees and come back later for the trimming of the rest. But it so happened that he was able to have his crew wrap up the tree removals and all the tree trimmings in the same visit. They cleaned up throughly and left no debris. We had a couple of sprinkler pipes that broke which Mike did offer to fix but I never got back to him. Absolute life saver! The storm that followed would have definitely knocked over a bunch of trees if not for the timely service from Mike. The fee for the work was also lower than 4 other firms I got quotes from. All in all good value for money and great service. Also appreciate the fact that he accommodated our emergency situation! Will hire again for sure.

Was a bit of a challenge to schedule, primarily because of the recent rainy weather which backed up projects for them. They worked quickly and did a good job on the pruning, using Mike Barkers arborist skills. My wife was not satisfied with some of the shaping of the trees and we asked them back which took a couple weeks to get scheduled. They cleaned up after themselves and did no damage to the property, which was a surprise, because in the past more expensive firms have damaged lighting other elements on the property. Their fee for the work was substantially lower than two other firms we took estimates from. They are a good value for the money.

Mike and his men know what they're doing. They work well as a team, work professionally and do it at a competitive price. I would absolutely use them again

Done with a crew of our in about half day, perfect clean up.

Perfect, professional, normal. They had eight staff on site, several went into the 80-foot tree for trimming... the other staff cleared debris as it dropped. The crew in the tree had safety gear and their tools appeared in good working order. The used small chain saws while in the tree to clear branches. The crew has a modern chipper and a large truck that contained the debris. All of the crew participated in clean-up using blowers and rakes. The team did the work on my schedule which was appreciated. The owner, Mike Barker, was on-site. Mike is a registered Arborist and explained the details of their intentions for trimming the tree. This is my third purchase of tree care services from Canada Tree Care.

All went well. The crew left some debris but when the owner, Mike Barker. saw this he went to work and cleaned it all up. He is a pleasure to work with.

Michael called me before our appointment time to say he could arrive 20 minutes early. With my agreement, he arrived ahead of schedule. When he saw our trees, he quickly noted they were both healthy and not in need of his service. He advised me on what to do to better maintain their health and what to notice in the future, if they show signs of needing professional care. He was easy to speak with, knowledgeable, and in the end he did not charge me for his consultation. I respect his honesty about not needing his service, and appreciate that he educated me in better maintenance for my trees! I will gladly call Cañada Tree Care in the future.

Great service! I had Canada Tree Care come out to trim some trees and cut down a few others over a decade ago, and they did an outstanding job. So when it was time to do it again, even though I had multiple companies come out and give me bids, I decided to go with Canada Tree Care. Mike came out to give me a bid the same day I called and they started work a few hours later. The trees were done in a few hours and before they left they chipped them all up to mulch I wanted to use around the yard. Hard to believe how large a trunk their chipper can handle. The next day they came back with a special machine to grind out the stumps even though it was misting. Great service. I would definitely recommend this company to a friend, and I will use them myself next time I need service Cut down 5 trees, ground out 3 stumps, trimmed one side of the house.

La Canada Tree Care was very responsive and did the work professionally and efficiently. We also appreciate how the owner, Mike Barker, came by during the day to inspect the progress of his team.

Expert knowledge of dendrology. He knows his trees. Brings a crew and chipper to get it done efficiently. Job performed as promised.

This was a difficult job since the trees were up to 100' from the street and the eucalyptus and redwoods were on a steep slope. So every piece of cut wood had to be lowered carefully and hand carried to the street. The team arrived promptly each day, were clearly well trained and experienced (some have been with the company for 20 years), the supervisor kept me informed about the progress and the work area was cleaned up thoroughly. Excellent work.

The workmen were courteous and very careful to protect buildings, fencing and driveway while dragging branches through my yard to the street. The price was most fair for the two days work required to remove the tree. It included having to take down a section of fence and replacing after the work was finished. Mr. Barker, company owner, and the crew were prompt, and when finished, the yards and driveway were as clean as when they started. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the outcome. Eleven man crew finished the job in just under 8 hours!! Very labor intensive getting the cut trees and brush up the hillside. At one point, there were 4 men climbing in the trees doing the trimming. The crew left the hillside and street very clean and even cleaned up my neighbor's patio where some trimmings fell. I watched the entire day and was impressed at how well the men worked as a team. Canada Tree Care wasn't the cheapest estimate I got, but I got a good feeling from them and felt I would get a professional job (good choice on part). I checked and found all the licenses, Workman's Compensation, and Insurance were current...an important point in case one of workmen were to get injured (keeps you out of liability and a law suit).

Overall I'm happy with Mike's work. The first job was a more thorough trim to ensure adequate clearance off the nearby power lines and cables. To keep the tree balanced, he was able to trim a few more branches over my neighbor's property. Mike's crew came, did the job, cleaned up on both properties, and left in one day as scheduled. The trim was a bit more than I expected but probably more importantly the tree appeared properly balanced. I had already covered my pool with a tarp to capture any trimmings as per recommendations from my pool guys, but Mike mentioned that his crew would have been able to do that for me if I had given them prior notice. Mike took time to answer my questions prior to and after the job, and I feel comfortable relying on his expertise and judgement in the actual trim parameters. He is on the list of La Canada certified specialists and was also aware of the specific city regulations regarding trimming of these respected trees. The job was very reasonably priced at $600 and was the lowest of three quotes. One month later, I asked him to help do a lighter trim of four overgrown oak trees on the front of the property. My main concern was to trim enough so we could see how much land we've got to work with for future landscaping while not disturbing the stability of the foundation and maintaining the sound barrier that the trees provided from the nearby main street. This time, Mike's team came several days later than we had originally planned, but we did communicate via text to coordinate times and this was not a problem for me. The trim was adequate, I feel maybe more weight could have been removed, but again I trusted his judgement and am overall happy with the result. The insulation from street noise is intact. Mike charged $900 for this job.

Mike and his team are truly professional. Originally he needed 2 weeks before he could come but he had a last minute cancellation and squeezed me in. His team of 8 came and took out a lot of dry brush that probably hasn't been touched in over 50 years! His team systematically went through the whole backyard and took it all out. His team worked hard everyday and cleaned up everything very nicely. With his coupon he beat the 3 other estimates. Rest assured this is a trustworthy company. Use them with confidence!

I have used Canada Tree Care several times to trim some big trees in both the back & front yard, also some ornamental pruning of smaller trees. They are careful, polite, very professional and know how to produce an aesthetic look. They clean up after the job. I highly recommend them.

Mike and his crew did a great job in taking out our tree and grinding down the stump and roots. They were on time and professional. We had a big stump and root system to grind down, which covered almost half of our front yard. His supervisor, Jeronimo, made sure that everything was done right. So, it took them an extra day to finish grinding down everything. I'm so blessed to have found a company that takes pride in their work.
