"Tony and crew were great. The appropriate door was installed beautifully and the fence was fixed better than new. They were prompt, work was done quickly and thoroughly. We are also having him quote on doing our bathrooms and floors. In the quote process he gave recommendations to improve what we want done. This is intended to be a great recommendation."

"We did a whole kitchen remodel. David was very knowledgeable and recommended a wall removal which completely changed the look of our kitchen and opened it up. Everyone that worked on the kitchen was very professional and they stuck to their schedule. They were pretty quick getting us back in our kitchen and it turned our beautiful. Customers say: Super punctual

"A top shelf experience. It was very easy to make an appointment, and to our amazement, they ACTUALLY ARRIVED ON TIME. The technician, Ed, was friendly and had a lot of good suggestions about how to save us money and upgrade our electrical. The repairs are perfect, the price was fair, and everything was done on a iPad, which made it all go very smoothly. Then we received a follow-up call to make sure everything went well. It was excellent."

Doors questions, answered by experts

A door sill is the horizontal part of the door frame at the bottom, while a door jamb consists of the vertical parts of the frame on either side. The door sill serves as a threshold, sealing the bottom of the door, while the door jamb provides structural support and houses the hinges and latch. Both are essential components of a door frame, with the door sill acting as a transition point and the door jamb providing stability and functionality.

If your patio door is worn and outdated, replacing it could be well worth the money—especially if you plan to sell your home anytime soon. An updated patio door will catch the eye of potential buyers, while a dingy one with peeling paint will likely be off-putting. A new patio door can also improve your home’s security, lower energy costs, and decrease the noise from outside. Ultimately, your choice will come down to the current state of your patio door and your replacement budget.

The best place to install a dog door is on an exterior door that leads to a fenced-in area of your rear yard. This position will let your dog go in and out as they need and still keep them safe in your yard when they’re outside. You should plan on installing the bottom of the doggie door a minimum of 3 inches above the bottom of your exterior door to maintain the structural integrity of the door, and never cut out a hole within 3 inches of exterior door glass.

You can use wood, metal, or plastic as a door shim, but keep in mind that wood will rot easier than the other two materials. Your local hardware store should have at least one type in stock. Alternatively, you can trim a piece of cardboard to fit underneath your door hinge and work as a temporary, makeshift door shim.

Proper installation ensures solid hinges and locks, maintaining home security.
