"Jaun is the most educated tree service I have ever experienced. We have 3 acres of hundred-year-old oak trees, Olive trees, sycamore trees, and over ten other types of trees on our property. Not only was he priced lower than all 3 bids I put out, but he is meticulous with every tree, giving it a great trim but yet exposing the most beautiful part of each specimen. I highly recommend this company and I will be using this company as long as I live on this property. Thank you, Juan."

"Great job trimming our overgrown trees in front and backyards, and thorough clean-up afterward as well as fixing our sprinkler parts at the end. Osmin and his crew had good work ethics and polite manner. Recommend!"

"I recently had Lead Saw Tree Service take out a tree from my yard, and it was such a breeze. They were super easy to deal with from the moment I asked for a quote to when they showed up on time and got the job done within the schedule they promised. It made my day so much easier and stress-free. I'd definitely recommend Lead Saw Tree Service for any tree removal job."

"Excellent experience. I had to have two huge eucalyptus removed. Gilbert's bid was fair and that he's thoroughly insured was most reassuring. But what sealed the deal was not feeling I had to hire an arborist diagnose the problem because Gilbert is so knowledge. He not only told me the reason the trees had to be removed but was able to show me the proof. The crew was efficient, hard working and impressive. I also felt I was working with a very honest person. Happy to recommend Gilbert's Green Essence."

"Ramon's price to remove a large fir tree was fair and the work was performed quickly and efficiently, although the crew did manage to break two sprinkler lines and a cap on our retaining wall in the process. They also trimmed a trunk off a tree that we did not want trimmed, and we had to wait several weeks for them to finish trimming a tree that was part of the agreed to project parameters. Ramon was very apologetic, and did make good on his promise to have his crew finish the job, which was done efficiently and to my satisfaction. Over all, I think Progressive Tree Care does good work, but I would make sure that the project parameters are well defined and understood by the crew."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.

Yes, forestry mulching can grind stumps, but the level of effectiveness depends on the equipment used. Drum mulchers can break down smaller stumps, but larger or deep-rooted stumps may require a dedicated stump grinder for complete removal. If full stump removal is necessary for replanting or construction, additional excavation may be needed. Always check with your forestry mulching provider to confirm whether they offer stump grinding and if their equipment is suitable for your specific needs.

Bradford pear trees bloom in early spring with small white flowers. They typically flower for at least two weeks. In bloom, these trees often emit a foul-smelling odor that’s often compared to rotting fish. Bradford pear trees will sometimes bloom in the fall due to drought or other stress-inducing conditions.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.
