So I had Air Duct Professionals come out to the inspection and they have an actual HVAC guy on their staff. Immediately looking at how new and well maintained our air system was in the attic, he told us those other companies were trying to scam us. "My HVAC unit stopped producing heat so I called the folks at around the clock. They offered to come out the same day and after taking a look up on our roof determined it was a faulty control board. We talked a little about the lifespan of the unit and that while it was probably going to need to be replaced in the next 5 years or so, it made more sense to simply replace the board today. So he scheduled an appointment for the following day to come back with the replacement board. 1 day later and 15 minutes of work and I have heat again."
