"Nasir did a great job! The service was very easy and quick to schedule and they communicated with us throughout. The fireplace had never been cleaned before and is now spotless with no residual smokey smell. Nasir was very friendly and even fixed and issue with our flume that was causing it not to open all the way. We are very pleased with the service!"

"Good job but overcharged for putting a standard chimney cap. They also gave me a quote to get my chimney cleaned for $500. I got my entire house deep cleaned for $150 and they expect me to pay $500 for getting the chimney cleaned."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Homeowners can conduct basic visual inspections and cleaning, but professionals provide thorough checks that identify hidden issues safely.

The cost to replace a chimney is about $10,000 on average and can cost up to $15,000, depending on the size, accessibility, materials, and extent of the replacement. Sometimes tearing the chimney down to the roof line and rebuilding it is an option. But if the chimney's internal structure deteriorates badly enough, a complete demolition down to the fireplace or the foundation may be necessary.

If you’re looking for a cost-effective alternative to a traditional chimney, consider having a dummy chimney installed. Dummy chimneys can either be aesthetic-only or fully functional and can be installed on both new and older homes. Whether installed to match your neighborhood’s aesthetic or to vent your chimney, dummy chimneys are made out of a Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) core, then covered with brick or stone slips to look like a traditional chimney.

Both vented and ventless gas fireplaces have pros and cons, and the best choice depends on your needs and preferences. A ventless fireplace may be a good option if you do not have a chimney, but you should check local regulations as they are banned in some areas, such as California. On the other hand, if anyone in your household has allergies, asthma, or other respiratory sensitivities, a vented fireplace is a better choice for health and air quality.

Gas fireplaces provide energy-efficient heating, low maintenance, and the convenience of instant ignition with remote control options.
