About us

Fuller Handyman Service is a family-run company service the cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City, since 1986. In 2017, we expanded to cover Hayward, Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, and the Central Valley. For the last 30+ years, we have specialized in home repairs. Our goal is to provide quality, professional service to each of our customers. We have received the Angie's List Super Service Award, awarded to businesses with the top 5% of positive customer reviews, for eight years running. We offer appointments by the hour for small miscellaneous projects and free estimates for larger jobs or repairs you'd like to get a second opinion on before making any decisions. The hourly charge is $150 for the first hour and $60 per subsequent half hour. The hourly rate includes the work of two men. Materials are an additional charge, but they are provided at cost with no markup. Fuller Handyman Service is licensed by the Contractors State License Board and each of the cities in which we do business. We are also bonded and insured. We have used Fuller twice, first to install a garbage disposal and the second time to install a dishwasher. Each time they arrived on time and completed the the installs professionally. They swept up and left everything clean. Nice job, we'll be using them again...

There was water damage on the wood molding above our dishwasher. Then the dishwasher broke. I called several handyman services, either got no response or they wanted an unreasonably high fee. I remembered Fuller Handyman service had done work for us before. I called them, they removed the dishwasher, inspected the area and gave me advice on how to proceed. We'll have them come back to install the new dishwasher once we get the repair work done. Fuller Handyman service is great!

We called Fuller handyman service in the morning and they were here by noon and did the work. Mr Fuller went and purchased the grab bars and he and his son installed them and reinstalled the towel bar and cleaned up everything afterwards. I would have them again in a heartbeat and recommend them highly. I felt his price was very reasonable and he gave us senior discount.

Initial phone contact was positive. Scheduling person was easy to reach, polite, and accommodated my scheduling needs. Mr. Fuller and his son were punctual for appointments and written bid was provided within 24 hours of initial meeting. I ended up only scheduling the fireplace door replacement. Mr. Fuller indicated that, because my house was built pre-1978 and had not been tested for lead paint, he couldn't take on the siding repair job without a specialized lead certification. On the day of the job, Mr. Fuller and son removed existing fireplace doors and attempted installation of the new doors I had ordered on the internet. It turned out the new doors were incompatible with my fireplace opening, so they ended up having to reattach the old doors. I would hire Fuller Handyman Service again because they were punctual, responsive, and communicated clearly. They do things "by-the-book". I didn't have the opportunity to really observe the quality of their work, but I appreciated their professionalism.

After few hiccups in schedules, I was successfully able to get on their calendar. Mr. Fuller and his son arrived on time and the job was wonderfully done. I was not only impressed by the quality of work, but also their strong work ethnic, professionalism, and a really stand-out attitude. I was very moved by an incident that happened and wanted to share it in this forum. While working on the gutter, the hose in my house they were using was slightly damaged and I wasn't around when that happened. Mr Fuller's son informed me about it and showed me the damage (which was a minor hole, one that could be plugged by a glue). I told them to not worry about it since I was very impressed with their work. Guess what, few mins later, they came back and dropped me a brand new hose. I wasn't around when they came and couldn't convey my thanks in-person. Thank you guys! You really didn't have to do it... I am proud to be your customer and will always be. Among all the crazy things I see in this world, their act instilled a sense of belief in me that there is still goodness and greatness amongst people like Mr. Fuller and his son.

They were able to get out here to do an estimated very promptly. They were delayed because they were backed up to get the work done but that is how it is these days. I don't think they should be dinged for that. They showed up on time, the day that they were supposed to be here.

I emailed Mr. Fuller pictures of the new mailbox I had bought, the existing mailbox and how it was mounted curbside, and asked for a rough estimate of the cost to remove the old box and install the new one. I received the estimate quickly slong with a suggestion of how to keep the costs down. Due to issues on my side, I was unable to follow-up for a couple of weeks, but when I was able to contact Mr. Fuller, he came out the next working day, at the appointed time, did the work perfectly in very short order for less than I thought it would cost. I have used Mr. Fuller's services for a variety of handyman-type jobs, and with always the same result: A excellent job at a fair price and always on schedule.

This is a small family run business that has been in business for 30 years. They are very responsive and it seems that no job is too small for them. I am very pleased with the quality of service they provided at a fair price, and would definitely hire again. I now have the most attractive mailbox post on the block.

While this was a very small job, Fuller Handyman was willing to help us, as after years of not being able to move the blinds, even after the initial professional installation. Fuller was very prompt in communication and coming out for the 30 minutes of work. They were very fair in the price they charged.

Very knowledgable, professional and friendly - Dave and associates were great and would defintely use them again. We have a very busy schedule and were able to schedule an appointment to install a security door via email very easily thanks to Christine who is in charge of logistics for the company. Very flexible and patient with all the questions we had asked. The door was installed with no problems and Dave took the time to explain what and how they would proceeed. I would HIGHLY recommend Dave for fixups and installs in your home. We definetly will call them again! Thanks Dave!
