"Danny took on our project, which was to build a home on an oddly-shaped, canyon side lot. We hired him as he had experience building on hillsides as well as with working with our architect. Ours was a very difficult project; from Coastal Commission to City approval, as well as with structural engineering. Danny had a plan for how to access and install our caissons into the hillside from day one. Not only that, his crew and sub-contractors showed up everyday, on-time for our year and a 1/2 building period. We communicated nearly every day via text or phone calls; Danny and his supervisor Scott were always VERY responsive. They were also open to alternate ideas in order to cut down construction costs. We've now been in our new home one year, and can honestly say that we are very happy with the craftsmanship and quality of our home. Moreover, the few small issues that we have had (garage door opener; low water pressure), Danny has continued to be responsive and to send his team back out to assist us over this past year. Overall, DM Building is an honest and earnest group of builders who only want the best for your project. "I interviewed several contractors before selecting Mark Halpert Construction. Unlike the other contractors that I had interviewed, Mark was very interested in hearing my ideas and was not trying to take over the project with his vision for my home. Despite the challenges of undertaking a home remodel while living there, Mark was very responsive to any concerns I had and fully explained what I was to expect as the project moved forward. With any project of this size, there will be hiccups but I always found Mark very responsive in a timely manner to any of my concerns. His crew was wonderful and I’d like to give a special appreciation to José for all his hard work. Mark has an wonderful eye for detail and it was evident that he takes a great deal of pride in his work. Mark and his crew were always very and respectful of my home and space by leaving it cleaned up after each days work. "We hired Royalty Design and build to remodel our kitchen in our home in Cardiff by the sea. The house, built in the 90s, had outdated kitchen - cabinets, countertops and flooring. Before starting the remodel, we had consultation meetings with one of Royaltys designers, who helped us select materials and created a design that matched our vision. The project was managed by Lavi, who maintained excellent communication with us throughout. he was always professional and readily available to answer any questions we had. Lavi visited the site several times each week to check on progress and ensure everything was going smoothly. "The whole process was outstanding!! I’m someone who doesn’t like construction. The dust especially. But I also wanted an upgrade. I interviewed 3 contractors. Tim Armitage being one of them. He by far was a stand out. Not only was he very friendly and funny but his knowledge of construction was mind blowing. I ended up hiring RCD and was so happy I did. Tim’s crew were very nice and respectful. I didn’t feel uncomfortable. And that’s a big deal to me. Because I work from home I had to stay there during the construction process. Being very dust sensitive they would put plastic up wherever they were working. They also cleaned up the area every day after they were done. I felt they always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Tim was great at always keeping the lines of communication open. He always answered his phone. Which I really appreciate. I can be kind of picky. I expect the best and I got it. The project was done in the time frame I was promised. Tim also has an eye for the finishes. He helped me pick out paint colors , tile, countertops etc. so that everything flowed nicely. The project went so smoothly! And for that I was so grateful. My kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. "Idan and Bobby did a great job with our kitchen remodel. Idan was with us every step of the way, picking out all the materials for the project and also provided a 3D rendering that helped a lot with the design. We got a work schedule and payment schedule before we started so everything was super clear and organized with no surprises and extra costs. They crew showed up on time and kept our house clean at the end of each day which was very important since we have younger children. Kitchen came out beautiful as promised. Great job !"
