Small jobs welcome

"Olaf and his team did an amazing job trimming 4 large trees and 1 large wall of hedges on my property. His price was fair, his team was efficient and respectful, and the overall experience was great end to end. We also received multiple compliments from neighbors on the end result. Would recommend their services to anyone."

"Tom responded promptly to my bid request to trim several large palm trees, calling the same day. He arrived the following day to inspect the scope of the project and provided an estimate on the spot. Tom is very knowledgeable and discussed several treatment options with us. The work was scheduled, completed on time, and with no hassle. I'd satisfied with their work, would definitely use TC Environmental again, and would recommend them to friends."

"Luis and his crew did a super nice job on my trees. New Green Earth Tree Care is my choice for the best tree service. My project included tree and shrub trimming on a very large bank, plus some shrub removal. My trees have never looked better. I was very pleased with the whole project from consultation to clean up."

"Look no where else! CM Precision Tree and Landscaping are the best. We had a tough project for them. They had to cut our neighbors huge pine tree that was hanging over our yard. They cut about 50% of the tree and had to access the tree from our yard, which was a bit of a trick. They did an amazing job. The neighbors had pots and plants all over the area under the tree. They covered everything up and nothing was damaged. All of the tree was cut and taken down through our yard. They roped all of the branches down and there was no damage to any trees or plants in our yard. Their team is professional and hard-working. Chuck and Pedro are miracle workers! They helped us with the many challenges that came with this project. Many thanks!!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Planting a palm tree close to your home can provide shade while elevating the beauty of your yard. However, there are a few safety concerns to consider before doing so. You’ll want to opt for a smaller tree with a non-invasive root system. Select a species that won’t grow too tall and choose a planting location that won’t damage your home.

If you ever want to see the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need to prune your peach trees. Without pruning, the trees may not grow or bear fruit since the nutrients will be divided among too many offshoots to provide any with enough energy to produce the peaches. Plus, if parts of the peach tree become diseased or pest-ridden, pruning can nip those problems in the bud.

Getting a tree pro with the right experience can be the difference between your transplanted tree surviving or not. When hiring a local tree transplanting and removal service, follow up on references, check their portfolio, ask for a breakdown of the costs, and get proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Also, look for companies certified by the International Society of Arboriculture or registered with the Tree Care Industry Association and make sure they have an appropriate state or city license.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.
