"There is no way to fully express how happy I am to have the good fortune of hiring Chris Alan Design for a remodel of a 30+ year old house. I inherited a house in Oceanside that needed a lot of work, but is occupied by a disabled sibling who did not want to move, even on a temporary basis. Complicating the situation is that I am a Texas resident and was concerned how I would handle such a project from afar. When mold was discovered in the house, I recognized that I needed to move forward with the remodel. I learned of Chris Alan Design through online reviews such as this. I gave Chris a call, we agreed to meet and did so this past February. He met my sibling, understood the disability and reassured us that no move out was needed. Additionally, he assured me that he would handle the entire remodel working with his experienced team. Short story, he delivered! He kept me informed every step of the way, sending me pictures of the progress as well as pics of selected colors, appliances, flooring, bathroom tile, plumbing fixtures, and calling to inform me when we needed to consider alternatives to the plan. My sibling had no complaints and enjoyed interacting with Chris’s team . . . and, he came in on budget. A+ is my rating and I encourage those who in are need of such services to give him call."

"Danny took on our project, which was to build a home on an oddly-shaped, canyon side lot. We hired him as he had experience building on hillsides as well as with working with our architect. Ours was a very difficult project; from Coastal Commission to City approval, as well as with structural engineering. Danny had a plan for how to access and install our caissons into the hillside from day one. Not only that, his crew and sub-contractors showed up everyday, on-time for our year and a 1/2 building period. We communicated nearly every day via text or phone calls; Danny and his supervisor Scott were always VERY responsive. They were also open to alternate ideas in order to cut down construction costs. We've now been in our new home one year, and can honestly say that we are very happy with the craftsmanship and quality of our home. Moreover, the few small issues that we have had (garage door opener; low water pressure), Danny has continued to be responsive and to send his team back out to assist us over this past year. Overall, DM Building is an honest and earnest group of builders who only want the best for your project. I highly recommend DM Building, and would be happy to discuss their work further with anyone who is looking for a custom home builder or looking to embark on a large remodel project. "Mark and his crew did an excellent job remodeling my bathroom. It looks absolutely beautiful. His crew also put in lighting in my kitchen and removed some cabinetry. The kitchen now looks more spacious. They also replaced the flooring in one of my bathroom downstairs. I was so pleased with the upstairs bathroom, I had Mark and his crew remodel my downstairs bathroom. My son and daughter-in-law were so impressed with the results, they wanted Mark to work on their home but they live outside his service area."
