"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

Bob Kelly started Kelly’s Appliance in 1975. His son, Mark Kelly joined the company in 1983. The business strategy was simple: provide excellent personal service at a fair price. Kelly’s Appliance moved to Sonoma County in 1987 and continues to provide personal service to every customer. Mark Kelly took over full ownership of the business in 1990. Mark’s son David joined the company in 2009 and his daughter Shannon started in 2012 making it a true family business. Giving personal customer service is still our number one priority.

"Avoid at all costs. Company sent technician out to repair air conditioning unit. The technician did it improperly causing a water leak. Haddon has refused to return phone calls or emails to discuss a resolution. They asked for a quote for the repair and haven't responded since. AVOID!!"

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

We do not do small scale projects, We specialize in Foundation Replacements, Soft Story retrofits and Seismic upgrades

"Beware and weigh your options before hiring this team. Matt and his team did successfully replace my HVAC system, was reasonable and transparent about price, but have significant gaps that prevent a 5-star review. I’ll update the review based on inspection results. 1. Communication issues: I spent a month of calling/texting/emailing to get in touch with Matt to start the project after initial inspection. Then when the project did not pass first inspection, one of Matt’s technicians came to check. I found the guy very defensive and he left without acknowledging my concerns. Then Matt called and yelled at me, accusing me being difficult, wouldn’t allow any time for me to speak up. I felt belittled as a customer, especially because of the next incident. 2. Cleanliness issues: Matt’s team spilled purple chemical to my light-colored carpet. They also did not cover the floor fully so there was yellowish stain. The lead technician didn’t want to address the issue. When he finally agreed he couldn’t remove it. Matt came back twice to remove the purple stain with some unknown solvent with strong odor, but insisted the yellowish was my cat’s pee. It was not. The team walked inside and out of my house with booties halfway off which defeated the purpose. I found myself very uncomfortable with the way they worked, but still agreeably paid the full amount as they completed the task and it’s difficult for everyone during COVID. 3. Respectfulness and Integrity: The lead technician lied to Matt about inspecting our attic. He did not enter the attic. I was working by the entrance the entire time. When I gave feedback to Matt, out of best intentions, he let me know he trusted his guys and did not send anyone to check the ducts in attic. He also petted my dog without asking. Which was a no-no during COVID."

Ge Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

Routine checks, cleaning, and following manufacturer guidelines enhance longevity.

The cost to replace a gas stove with an electric one depends on whether your electrical wiring is updated, the stove model you purchased, and whether or not a local gas plumber needs to disconnect and seal off any existing gas lines. If all the proper wiring is in place, the estimated labor costs for installing a new electric stove range from $100 to $300.

While frequent or costly repairs may make you think about replacing your appliance, other signs to replace an appliance include unusual noises and high utility bills. But also keep an eye (and nose) out for more dangerous signs, such as a sparking microwave, a smoking oven, or a leaking fridge. Appliances that spark, smoke, smell foul or burnt, or are leaking may mean that there are broken parts, and this brings higher risk of fire, shock, and water damage.

It depends. Use the “50% rule” to help you decide. For example, you should consider replacing the appliance if it is halfway through its lifespan and the repair will cost more than 50% of the price of a new one. Contrary to popular belief, repairing a major appliance is more wallet-friendly than purchasing a new one. While the cost of new home appliances can run as high as $8,000, the average cost to repair them is $170. If the appliance you’re trying to get rid of isn’t too old, consult a local appliance repair expert to see what can be done to restore it.

Considering ovens can last 15 years (and sometimes more), it is likely a better idea to repair a 10-year-old oven, assuming the repair won’t cost more than 50% of the oven’s value. So, for instance, if your oven is worth $1,200 and the repair is only $400, it’s a better option to complete the repair.
