I didn't have any terrible dislikes. I thought they came and did a good job. I think they needed some parts so they said that they'll see me the next day. They came when they said they would. There were no issues since the service was provided. There was a piece that he had to order so it took him two days.

What a great experience! After moving, my dryer started overheating, was not venting properly and kept shutting off. Mark arrived after a call from his office alerting me that he was on the way. Within 20 minutes he diagnosed the problem and had it fixed. Without even asking (or expecting!), he reconnected the dryer vent which we had unconnected to see if we could fix the problem. After noting that we had recently moved into the house, he checked out our kitchen appliances and gave me all the and quot;do's and don'tsand quot; for everything. Price was so reasonable. I will definitely call again if I have trouble with any other appliance and would have no trouble recommending to family and friends.

I had somebody else fixed another washer that has the same problem and I ended up paying that guy $200 and it wasn't fix. He came in and fixed it right away and it wasn't half that much. I couldn't get hold of him before that. It was good that he could fix it and he was honest. He told me how much it was going to be and he was on time. He was excellent. I'm getting ready to call him again.

My impression is that Absolutely Affordable Appliance Repair succeeded well, maybe too well, as an owner-operator and has not been able to scale the business to meet demand. Our original experience (refrigerator repair) was very positive, based on friendliness and professionalism of service. It did take more than one visit to fix though, which we overlooked, especially because he even fixed our front gate, where screws came out and set it atilt.
When our dishwasher quit working, we immediately contacted AAAR, but experienced no immediate response and a and quot;voice mail box is fulland quot; message...eventually we heard back. (An out-of-town family emergency caused the no response.) Note: there were negative reviews posted on Angie's at that same time about lack of responsiveness. Once back in touch, we received service and the dishwasher worked well...for a couple days. We called back, had to wait a couple days and had it fixed again. Now, a couple weeks later, the dishwasher has suddenly stopped working and after leaving voice mails we have yet to receive a call back.
Response from Alpha HVACR and Appliance Inc
"I'm sort of surprised at this negative review. We have repaired that dishwasher several times and it's always the same issue. The control boards keep going bad. The last time I spoke with your wife we decided that I would contact Kitchenaid to see if they would help you. I called several times trying to get model number and serial number from her and she never called me back until just this week. She said the reason she didn't call back was because the dishwasher was working fine. So there seems to be conflicting stories here."

Our LG refrigerator suddenly stopped working one evening. We researched on Angie's list and chose Absolutely Affordable Appliance Repair based on ratings and reviews. They showed up the next day as planned and made quick work of assessing the situation - a blown motherboard. Unfortunately a replacement wasn't immediately available; AAAR gave us a timeline of a couple days and delivered on time. We have had no further issues. They're owner-operated and very busy but deliver great quality and service.

Mark and his helper were running a few minutes late, but I we received a call from the office advising when they would arrive.
What I thought was a clogged water line was actually a worn ice maker part. They replaced the part and we have ice again!!
My husband and I were very pleased with the overall experience and would definitely call them again.

Our fridge stopped working and we were afraid that we would need to buy a new one.
When we called, and they understood the spot we were in they slipped us into their already full schedule. They were later than they said, but that is the only issue I had with their service, and I know that they were helping us between already scheduled jobs.
Instead of a new refrigerator, we needed a small relay. They also gave us some good advice on how to keep our other appliances working well.
I will definitely be going back to these people.

Mark Supachana and his helper came on time to repair my 30-year old Jennair grill and cooktops. The fan of the cooktops did not work. Mark isolated and identified the problem. He patiently worked on cleaning and polishing the switch mechanism. In about 1.5 hours, the fan problem was fixed. He saved me from buying a new grill and cooktops. Mark is an expert electrician. One month ago I hired him to repair my 30-year old microwave oven. I will use him again for future electrical repairs.

The microwave oven is too old to find parts. He made a part from the stuff in his gadget box and repaired the oven. He charged $90 for the labor and $30 for the part. I think it was worthwhile because otherwise I have to replace this microwave oven together with the underneath regular oven. It will probably cost $1,200 and above.

I called Absolutely Affordable on a Thursday. We agreed on a time to meet Friday. On Friday Mark (owner and serviceman) and his trusty sidekick, Adam, were running ahead of schedule and asked if it would be convenient for me to have them come earlier. In fact it wasn't. I suggested 2pm, they agreed and then showed up at 1:59.
They looked at my dishwasher, diagnosed the problem, gave me a cost estimate for replacing the pump. They compared the costs of replacing the pump versus buying a brand new dishwasher. They suggested that a new dishwasher of the quality of mine would be a lot more expensive than replacing the pump and their take was that, other than this issue, the dishwasher was fine and didn't need to be replaced. I followed their advice. They sought out a pump, found it, re-quoted a price and then discussed scheduling.
Saturday was a very full day for them but he offered that he could get the pump before their first appointment and then see me between 10 and 11. At approximately 9:45 Adam called to let me know they were finishing up at the previous appointment and would be at my house in about 30 minutes. 10 minutes before they arrived Adam called again to let me know they were almost there.(This is the sort of professionalism and punctuality that I've come NEVER to expect. I was blown away by this level of service).
They arrived, installed the pump wrote out the bill and were ready to leave. I had a question about another appliance. Mark advised that the manufacturer of the product in question offered a lifetime guarantee. If I would take a picture of it and send it along with an explanation, the manufacturer would send me a new item for free. Mark also said he'd and quot;fix me upand quot; with the installation. I'm not sure exactly what he meant, but I believe he meant he'd go easy on the cost of the labor.
From start to finish my experience of Mark, Adam and Absolutely Affordable Appliance Repair was A+++. I will ALWAYS call them first if I have an appliance repair need. (It seems like when I bought my house there was a planned obsolescence on all the appliances of 10 years...so I think I may be using AAA Repair quite a bit in the future. I will do so with complete confidence. I was amazed by their total professionalism...calling me to confirm and update me on their status; their accommodation of my schedule (instead of just showing up like anyone else does, it seems); their punctuality; their friendliness; and, most important, the quality of the service they performed.

They came, they investigated possible problems, focused on the problem area and were able to unplug the line where the water had frozen.

Mark and his assistant arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. I am a repeat customer and I will use this company again if there is a need. I own a rental property so it is a relief to have someone available who is so honest and competent.

About a year and a half ago, my washing machine stopped working. I called another repair service. They said their minimum service call was $130 - whether or not they could fix the problem. That didn't seem right. I did some checking and found Absolutely Affordable Appliance and called them. I talked to the owner (Mark?) who said that his fee was $90 to come look at the washer, but that if he couldn't fix it, there would be no charge. That seemed fair, so I set up an appointment. He and a technician arrived at the appointed time. The owner looked at the washer for less than 5 minutes and diagnosed the problem.... said that the part would cost $40. I had wondered if I needed to buy a new washer but Mark (?) told me that this was a good machine and that he could repair it.
It is now over a year later - and my washing machine is working fine. I am very pleased with the service that Absolutely Affordable Appliance Repair performed. It is nice to know that there are still people out there who can fix things.
I would highly recommend this appliance repair service.

Upon finding our side my side not cooling we contacted GE and first appt was 7 days out so we contacted AAAR after seeing ratings on Yelp. They responded quickly. Thought it might be the Mother board and put in new one - decided that wasn't the issue and removed it, thereby saving us money. Proceeded to replace an evaporator fan and a thermister which are behind the panel on freezer side. Said we might not be out of the woods yet and that it might be an issue with something on the fridge side behind panel there... more labor. Overnight and next day no change in temp. We made another appt .This time they could not make it out until a few days later... meanwhile we have thrown out food and no backup except for ice chests. We contacted GE and they came out next day. It was very straightforward... tech took out a laptop, opened up panel behind ice/water dispenser and plugged in the computer to the computer in the side by side. BAD MOTHER BOARD! Upon further inspection it was discovered that AAAR owner left a LIVE WIRE loose when he installed the thermister. The tech , myself and my husband were shocked. (NO PUN INTENDED - HA!) We were very fortunate that it didn't ARCH and burn out the entire refrigeration unit. We spent additional money to fix it properly but it could have been worse - we could have had a total loss of a very expensive unit. I believe AAAR may have good intentions but it is clear that refrigeration is not their forte. Unfortunately, they are at a disadvantage in that they do not have the proper equipment, i.e., the manufacturer's computers.
Response from Alpha HVACR and Appliance Inc
"Wow, that was an unfortunate experience. However, there are some very untrue comments posted which lead us to believe the GE repairman was trying to find himself some recognition. If we were contacted (which we were not) and told of this "hot wire" that was left hanging about we would have been very prompt to fix this problem. However, a "hot" wire not connected would mean that an entire circuit would not have been functional. As all our customers are told there is a 90 day parts and labor warranty on our work and if we don't fix it there is no charge. You should have called us back but....thanks GE and good work in saving these peoples lives!"

They came out, diagnosed the problem and then told me they needed parts to complete the fix. They scheduled time to come back (that Saturday) at which time they completed the repair.
When one more part was needed, they recommended that because of the age of the microwave, we not continue with the repair and suggested replacing the unit. THEY DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE PARTS THEY ALREADY BOUGHT and THEY DID NOT CHARGE FOR THEIR TIME!
We bought another unit and will use them to install it. I wish that every business had this kind of integrity.

Prompt response from scheduling person, courteous repair people. When there was a problem removing the dishwasher to replace the motor, the owner came out to do the work himself. Very impressed that they advised us not to use the machine as the plumbing problem would rapidly burn out the new motor and also pleased that the fill-valve will now be replaced without an additional labor charge.
