Reviews of Gas Line Installation Services Near You

Shreve-McGonegal
5.0
We smelled gas in the kitchen and called the gas company, who shut off the gas outside the house. (This shut off all of our gas appliances, including the furnace and hot water heater.) The plumber from Shreve McGonegal arrived very promptly and replaced the gas valve in the stove, so the gas service could be restored to the house. We have used the company for several other plumbing jobs and recommend them highly.

David W Foster Plumbing Inc
5.0
Dave Foster was an exceptional provider. Washington Gas had shut off the gas completely to the residence. Dave made special arrangements to come by over the weekend and examine the problem. He did a thorough examination of the gas fixtures, found the gas leaks (unlike Washington Gas) and found prior issues from work that a previous plumber performed. If it were not for the discovery of these prior issues, it is likely that Washington Gas would not have approved the next inspection of the property and would have denied turning the gas back on. Dave's expertise was critical in making sure all potential issues were addressed so that the gas (heat, stove and hot water) could be resumed as soon as possible. His help was indispensable in resolving our complicated sequence of events. I would highly recommend him to someone looking for a qualified plumber.

RL Voight and Son LLC
5.0
The work done was super. They had problems getting the inspector out, but it was WSSC having the problem, not RL Voight & Co. They also installed the gas dryer, since a gas fitter is required to install a gas dryer. We are really happy with the new set up.

Haynes Plumbing LLC

Haynes plumbing provided exceptional service. They located the gas leak and put up with a gas inspector who didn't know what he was doing so I had to call in a second gas inspector who passed it and said the plumber knew what he was doing. Lee performed all the work and assisted me when the pilot light on the gas heater went out twice due to construction work being performed on my condo. Lee also installed my new gas stove, delivered and installed new disposer, fixed clogged drains and broken toilet. They were always prompt, polite, and helpful. I'd definitely recommended them.

Mallick Plumbing & Heating
5.0
The gas company shut off my gas one day while I was at work claiming the gas pipe coming into my home was leaking gas. I called Mallick as soon as I got home that evening and they came out first thing the next morning. They took a look at my pipes, gave me an estimate, and started work right after the estimate. They did a great job at a reasonable price and turned my gas back on after a couple of hours. They were courtesy and friendly. I would definitely call them again for any gas or plumbing needs.

Brent was great. He quickly ascertained that it was not feasible (especially economically) to pursue the gas lines. I was disappointed that I would not be able to have a gas stove, but very grateful that Brent was so thorough in his analysis. Brent was recommended to us by Mike from Nova Green Energy, who said that Brent was one of the best gas experts in our area - I would completely agree. Go to Brent if you have a gas issue.

Jiffy Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
5.0
I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel and existing gas lines were going to cause a problem with the new cabinetry. I needed a plumber to come out as soon as possible so as not to hold the contractor up. I called Jiffy Plumber first thing Monday, March 16. They told me someone could be to my house that same day. I got a call when the plumber was 30 minutes out and by the time I left work and got home, Thomas was there. My contractor and I explained the situation. Thomas surveyed the situation and my contractor said unfortunately the cabinet layout I wanted would not work because of the gas line placement. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I think Thomas heard the disappointment in my voice and continued to think about ways the gas lines could be modified to allow for the cabinet layout I so desperately wanted. Eureka! Thomas came up with a solution that not only would allow the contractor to install the cabinetry as diagrammed but also that would not require cutting the cabinetry to fit. I almost could have hugged Thomas. I feel he went over and beyond in resolving the issue. He told the contractor what he needed him to do to make the gas lines accessible and made the appointment to come back once the contractor had opened up the floor to expose the run of the gas line in the bathroom below. Thomas returned to do the work on March 20, calling that morning to say he was on his way. He arrived on time and performed the job within a reasonable amount of time and with interruption to my schedule. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and even went as far to explain what he was doing. He also recommended some other work I might want to consider doing in the future. And, I didn't feel like this was a sales pitch. I appreciated the suggestion. Would I call Jiffy Plumbing again? Yes. Would I request Thomas? Most definitely.

Fry Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
5.0
When we smelled gas on our lower level, we immediately called the gas company. They came in and determined that their were 3 leaks in gas pipes leading to our furnace. They immediately shut the furnace down and indicated that we needed a licensed plumber to correct the deficiency. I called Fry Plumbing who had a plumber on site within the hour. He was courteous, knowledgeable and made appropriate recommendations. We will definitely use Fry in the future.

Cardinal Plumbing Heating & Air Inc

Found that sink leak was simple and fixed at no charge. Inspected with camera buried PVC pipe draining downspout effluence away from house. Found one short section needs to be tilted, and a large section is full of roots and mud. Recommended a way to replace with a much shorter run. Recommended using a less expensive handyman for this. Having a number of new gas appliances put in and have had gas company put in a higher-capacity meter. Cardinal inspected our gas system and made useful recommendations as to whether regulators will be needed. Did not charge for gas-related work.

Excellent support. I have a ventless fireplace that I need to remove and cap the gas line. The staff taking my inquiry understood I needed a licensed gas plumber and set up Miguel and Jeremy. Both were very friendly and took the time to explain what they would do. The job was completed in 30 minutes and they checked my gas appliances to verify things were working as expected. They were very prompt and arrived when they said they would. Highly recommended.

Dwyer Plumbing, Heating & Air

I was replacing my washing machine but needed an old gas line extension capped in my laundry room to have access to an old entry way. I also had a dripping kitchen faucet. I Called Dwyer and they assigned an appointment for first thing the next day. The plumber and assistant - assessed the situation, provided a quick estimate, performed the work and ensured that the gas appliances were working after turning the gas line on. Great job and fast.

Olympic Aire Services Inc

They came and took the old unit out and put the new one in. At one point my house smelled like gas really bad. I went out and asked them if they did anything with the gas lines. At that time I was told they did not touch the gas lines. My husband called the place and the owner called us back. He told us that yes they did touch the gas lines. They told us that they had to bleed the gas lines. So that is why I was smelling the gas. I am pregnant and was very concerned about it. The work was finished and everything looked fine. I all works fine as of now. We have not really got to use the heat yet but the A/C works great.

John Nugent & Sons Inc
5.0
My Heating/A.C. and water heater were all old and not working to my satisfaction. I called John Nugent and sons and they sent out a repairman. He found the leak and charged up the unit with freon. He said there may be other leaks that were less apparent but we could wait and see. I had stated that I just wanted to get the unit running and see if it could stay working. Three weeks later the unit stopped cooling. Service call again. This time he said that we could keep doing this but that the unit was probably worn out. I agreed and got an estimate from him. A couple of days later I called and set up replacement of HVAC and water heater. They came sooner than expected, did a great job of

Dwyer did a great job installing our new Rinai tankless water heater. They had to tap into our gas line and install 30 feet of new gas line for the Rinai. They also removed our old water heater. The installation went smoothly and the new Rinai works great.

Chandler's Plumbing and Heating Co Inc
5.0
It was a pleasure dealing with Chandlers Plumbing & Heating Company. I got an estimate and appointment for the work quickly. The team that did the work showed up on time, completed the work with a minimal amount of drywall work and cleaned up afterwards. And the cost was less than 1/4 of the other estimate I had for the work. I was very happy with the entire experience from my initial phone call to the supervisor showing up while the work was being done. They are first on my list to call the next time I need a plumbing and/or heating company.

Michael & Son Svc Inc
5.0
We called Michael and Son late on a Friday after the gas company had found a leak in our gas range. The stove was ancient and fried, and had not been installed properly, and so Washington Gas shut off service to our house. Based on a 4pm call, Michael and Son had a plumber dispatched, who was able to cap the gas line and install a shut off valve as required by code. He stayed till 730pm. We were not charged an emergency fee, and because the plumber was a certified gas technician, he was able to re-open the gas line to the whole house so we didn't have to spend a single night without heat and hot water. The plumber was helpful, knowledgable and very polite. I'm thrilled with the service. We also requested an estimate for a major electrical project; the electricians who came were also very nice and great to work with for the purpose of an estimate. The cost is high, so we're still thinking about that part of things, but I have a ton of confidence in Michael and Son based on our experience so far.

We were unable to find pros for your Natural Gas Plumbers project in Ashburn, VA

However, we may have pros in another category that can help with your project.

Around 50% of homes in the United States are heated using natural gas. Everyone will experience issues at some point in time.

How Much For a New Gas Line?

Expect to pay around $500 but it can be expensive, sometimes pushing $1,400, depending on the length of the line and complexity of the job, such as tight spaces or sharp angles.

Natural gas plumbing can be downright dangerous. You should rely on the pros to handle these projects. Here are hiring tips to follow as you select the right people to fix your LP or LNG connections.

1. Ask for Licensing Information

In most states, gas plumbers have to be licensed to practice their trade. Before you get an estimate, ask a prospective plumber if they're properly licensed, and ask for a copy of their licensing paperwork. While you're at it, ask for their insurance paperwork as well; if a pipe bursts while your plumber is working, you don't want to have to pay for the damages. If a gas plumber is truly qualified, they'll have a master plumbing license, which indicates that they're the most experienced professionals in their industry.

2. Get Bids on Paper

As you're selecting the right gas plumbers for the job, verbal estimates simply won't do. Whether you have an estimate written out by hand, faxed, or emailed, you'll need that paper trail later as you compare bids from various companies and reference your estimate against your contract.

3. Look into Their Background

A good gas plumber will be proud of his or her record, and they will be happy to provide you with the contact information of two or three customer references. Also, don't forget to check out the company's reviews to better understand their local reputation.

What Kind of Pipes?

Most natural gas pipes are copper - it's easy to transport (weight) and resists corrosion. Plastic pipes and tubes (bright colors such yellow) are used for stoves and ovens, along with tight angles.

How Much For a Outdoor Gas Grill Line?

Natural Gas grill lines cost between $100 and $600.

What is Natural Gas?

It's mostly methane pulled from underground using a variety of methods. It's typically found with other fossil fuels such as petroleum and coal.
