"Joe was punctual, polite, and very helpful. He took a little while to diagnose the problem with the heating unit, but once he figured it out he had the part ready and the installation underway (he first told us what the part would cost and asked permission to go ahead with the repair- which I appreciated). He tested the unit when he was done to make sure it was the right fix, which it was. Then we asked if he could also look at the air conditioning unit while he was here, since it stopped working at the end of last summer. He took some more time to fix that one, which was even harder to diagnose. But, he kept testing until he found the problem, and in the end we had 2 operable units that will save us from another service call in the busy summer season. It was worth the money.

"My air conditioner broke on the hottest day of the year (113). I went on Angie's list and saw they were highly rated so I gave them a call. It was late in the day when I called, but they were able to come out the next day. The guy was able to get the AC working but said I probably needed a new system. This didn't come as a shock to me....it was getting old. I had gotten estimates before, so I had a dollar figure in my head for what a new system would cost. I called their office and scheduled an estimate. The young man who came out took his time and looked at everything. He explained what he was doing and why. When showing me my options, he didn't try to sell me the most expensive model, but the one that best suited my needs. It wound up being $3000 less then previous estimates I had been given. When it came to installation, their team arrived on time, put coverings down to protect my floors (HVAC is in the attic) and even brought a portable AC unit so I would be comfortable....it was about 110 that day. They thought it would probably take a day and a half, but they got it all done in one day. My AC is working great now. I didn't know how poorly my old unit was working until the new one was installed. I'll have to say that I have been impressed with this company from start to finish. Everyone from the lady who answers the phone, to the estimator, to the installers has been punctual, pleasant and informative. They send e-mails to confirm appointments, usually with a picture of who is coming. Also, the amount I paid for the first repair was deducted from the bill for installation. They are going to be my new go-to people for all heating and cooling from now on."

"This company was the second i had out to look at repairing our tankless hot water heater. For over a week the hot water would turn off randomly.  Baltica was my second opinion  for the repairs and i felt really lucky to have found them on Angie's list. The first company told me i needed to replace the entire 5 year old unit for $2200.00. Baltica answered all my questions before coming out,  Marius assessed the condition once  he came out,  the unit was flushed and clean out valves were installed he was very professional.  How nice to work with a company that stands behind their service.

"That worked out very well. He did very well. They've been working fine ever since. It's been about 6 months now. It all worked very well. I gave him the go ahead on September 19th. On the 26th, I received a courtesy followup from him, after it had been done. I had about 6 different contenders bid. Some of them were more than he was. One of them actually had a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. Southland was less in terms of the warranty. Their price was generally lower. I have subsequently seen offers for much less on Angie's List. I guess it was just the timing. So far everything has been great. No problems. They showed up right when they said they would. I'm planning to use them in the future. It turns out that the units they installed would soon be upgraded so they can respond to Amazon's voice controlled robot (Alexa). He said that these components will have Alexa capability in February. As soon as they are available, I will be contacting Southland again to come out and upgrade the air conditioning, so I can say to Alexa to turn the heat up or down and do it all by voice control. I have smart devices all throughout the house.
