"The response was very fast called them Friday and the were here Sat morning... very happy. The gentlemen showed up on time as promised ...another big big PLUS!!!. They got to work on a palm tree that was pushing out my retaining wall. . were very efficient and left the area and surrounding neighbors yard very clean after they were done. "They were complete strangers to me. I walked him around the 4 big trees I wanted removed. He quoted price. We diddled around on an acceptable price. Agreed to it and scheduled a start day and time. Did a good job of cutting them off a ground level and carting off tree remains. I will look to them for future tree work."

"Updating my previous review. The root ball was finally removed this past Friday. I wish it would have been done sooner, but at least it was removed.. The tree removal service was quick and done safely which I appreciated. The communication at the end was not great but the job did get done."

"Jose & his workers arrived on time at 7:30 am to cut 5 Cypress trees about 35 5o 40 feet tall. They worked efficiently and quickly, clean up all debris from my backyard & neighbor's backyard. Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size. 

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.

Before you cut down a dead palm tree, try to revive it using the methods listed above. However, there are instances when it makes sense to remove a dead palm tree, including:

  • The heavily infected tree will infect nearby trees, bushes, and plants.

  • The palm’s roots are overtaking your yard, foundation, and sidewalk and causing structural damage.

  • The tree is unstable and a hazard to your property, your neighbor’s property, and pedestrians.

A serrated knife will work for cutting off small palm tree fronds, about 1 inch in diameter. For larger fronds, you will need pruning shears. You may also use a pruning saw, and if your palm tree is especially tall, an extended pole saw can help you reach the brown fronds around the trunk.
