"I Called to get an in person quote for a tankless water heater flush and left this job with a whole house filter and a fridge connection. When Michael first arrived we inspected the tankless unit and tested the water to conclude flushing was not my best option. He then walked me through my options for home filters and we decided on a Halo system. Michael was very well educated on the subject and gave me the best value filter for my needs. "Better than expected. I recieved several bids (3), and decided to with West Tech Mechanical Services because even though it was a little bit higher than the lowest bid, I was impressed with how Joe explained how his company is different than other companies with cheaper bids. He explained that 90% of other companies don't take the time nor expense to work on the most important part of the installation which is the foundation preparation for the equipment. Other companies cut too many corners regardless of the quality brand of the equipment, many times the installers don't get the right size ducting or connections because of mistakes and don't have time to go back to the parts store because they are under pressure to finish the job in a couple of days, so the improvise using the wrong size ducting and cutting the distance of the duct run to keep everything under budget. The problem with that is uneven air distribution and uneven temperatures throughout the home, causing the equipment to run longer times not meeting temper demands and further causing wear and tare along with higher utility bills. Joe explained that spend more time in getting all the correct parts and runs the ducting to the farthest ends of the house so that the air gets conditioned almost instantly. So I decided to go with West Tech Mechanical Service, and when everything was said and done, I was impressed with how the air immediately cooled and heated my home. I even had the city inspector come over to inspect the job and he said he was impressed of how well the ducting was installed. So I decided to write this review which I hope helps others out there in looking for the right contractor."

"My air conditioner broke on the hottest day of the year (113). I went on Angie's list and saw they were highly rated so I gave them a call. It was late in the day when I called, but they were able to come out the next day. The guy was able to get the AC working but said I probably needed a new system. This didn't come as a shock to me....it was getting old. I had gotten estimates before, so I had a dollar figure in my head for what a new system would cost. I called their office and scheduled an estimate. The young man who came out took his time and looked at everything. He explained what he was doing and why. When showing me my options, he didn't try to sell me the most expensive model, but the one that best suited my needs. It wound up being $3000 less then previous estimates I had been given. When it came to installation, their team arrived on time, put coverings down to protect my floors (HVAC is in the attic) and even brought a portable AC unit so I would be comfortable....it was about 110 that day. They thought it would probably take a day and a half, but they got it all done in one day. My AC is working great now. I didn't know how poorly my old unit was working until the new one was installed. I'll have to say that I have been impressed with this company from start to finish. Everyone from the lady who answers the phone, to the estimator, to the installers has been punctual, pleasant and informative. They send e-mails to confirm appointments, usually with a picture of who is coming. Also, the amount I paid for the first repair was deducted from the bill for installation. They are going to be my new go-to people for all heating and cooling from now on."
