"Unbelievably great experience. Colin was very professional, easy and pleasant to talk too and work with. We talked with him about our plans of moving to Cheyenne and told him about the uninsulated shop on the property we were looking at buying. So we wanted prices to make sure this was going to be a good move for our family. We would like to get it down once the closing happened. So we had a plan and a date. Unfortunately for us, the shop had wiring issues and did not meet code. So the closing changed and we had to change the date of the work twice. Colin understood the position we wore in and worked with use changing dates on him. Once it all came through he came like he said he would and started promptly and stayed on it. He covered everything we had to move in and tried to keep it out of his way and they cleaned up after each day. It was very nice to peek in the shop after they left for the day to see what they accomplished. It was a great job and well done. It was a pleasant experience working with Colin and his company did an outstanding job. I recommend him to anyone needing spray insulation done !!! Joe & Durango Dixon"

"Sam replaced 30 year old insulation under our cabin. The cleanup job was horrible with all the insulation and pinecones from squirrels. Sam meticulously cleaned all of that up and left it spotless. Sam also noticed that we had a heat vent that had become disconnected and he notified us of that and actually fixed it for us. This was above and beyond. Sam is conscientious, a hard worker and a pleasure to do business with. If you need insulation, I would wholeheartedly recommend this business!"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a radiant barrier ranges from $700 to $2,800, depending on the size of your roof and the type you choose. Most people pay an average of $1,700 to install a radiant barrier. Foil options, both single- and double-sided, cost between $0.10 and $0.90 per square foot, while spray-on options start at $0.60 and go all the way up to $1 per square foot—which can add up quickly.

Yes, doggie doors, like all entrances, can let both hot and cold air into your home. However, as with any door in your house, you can take steps to weather-strip your pet's entrance to prevent air leaks.

Single-pane windows might let in the cold, but if you’re not ready for a long-term solution or window replacement, there are quick fixes to keep your space warmer. Start by sealing gaps with weatherstripping or caulking around the frame to block drafts. For an extra barrier, apply window insulation film to the glass, trapping an air pocket between the film and the window. Thick curtains or thermal drapes can also help keep the chill at bay. And if you’re in a pinch and looking to get creative, bubble wrap can provide a surprisingly effective layer of insulation—just spritz the window with water and press it on, bubble side in.

At a minimum, blown-in insulation lasts 20 to 30 years. Cellulose and sheep’s wool come from natural materials, so they likely max out at around 30 years. Fiberglass and rockwool feature artificial materials that boast lengthy lifespans, up to 50 years, or even longer in some cases. As always, this timeline assumes you don’t run into any issues, such as flooding or mold, that shorten the lifespan.

Rockwool insulation can last up to 100 years, but just how long this insulation lasts in your home depends on how well it's maintained. Poorly installed insulation may last only 30 years, so be sure to regularly inspect your home's insulation for water damage, settling, and pests to give your insulation the best chance of having a long lifespan.
