"I contacted Matthew from Chimney USA LLC @ 757-333-4744. He returned my call promptly to set up an appointment. When Matthew arrived to check my chimney, he was thorough and explained why and where my chimney drafts were coming from. He even went on the roof to ensure the vent above was still in good order. While Matthew was on the roof he noticed a vent pipe that had been eaten by a squirrel. I appreciated all that he did."

"Fantastic customer service! I had a chimney inspection and some service done to replace the dangerously unusable chimney liner. They installed a new flue and now I have the confidence it will last the life of the house. On-budget; under-time estimate; and very great to work with."

"

Before having my roof replaced I had Around the Clock Chimney and Roofing replace my old chimney chase and cap because of its rusted condition.  I purchased a new stainless steel chase and cap from them that cost $963.00 in April 2015, and it looked good.  I live in a ranch home, and the chimney top is very noticeable when you go onto into the backyard pool area.  Then in November 2015, I started noticing some rust beginning to tear-drop down the chase from the nails that they used around the side of the chase, and it was very noticeable.  The rust indicated to me that the installers did not use stainless steel nails to secure the cap.  I called Around the Clock Chimney and Roofing making sure their work was still under warranty and set-up an appointment for Tuesday, 15 December at 3 pm to come over and fix the problem.  I took off work early that day and arrived home at 2:30 pm so I could be at home when they showed up.  I went into the back yard and looked up at the chimney and noticed several globs of black caulking over the nails; they had already been there!  I was very upset at the work they had done because instead of replacing the nails with stainless steel nails they used black caulking which was nastier looking than the rust.  I immediately called Around the Clock and talked to the lady that worked the desk discussing the substandard work done, and she said that she would contact the crew that came out to do the warranty work and get right back to me.  While that was on Tuesday, 15 December 2015 that I called, and today is Monday, 25 January 2016 and still have not heard back from the company.  I noticed over this past weekend the gobs of black caulking have washed away, and the same rust problem exists from the rusty nails.  I do have pictures of the globs of caulking and rust on the chase.  Around the Clock received good reviews in Angie's List and that is why I went with them, and I hope I can upgrade this review in the future.

"I had a mixed and bewildering experience. I called to find out why my chimney was leaking into my house. The original worker cancelled the first appointment and came 2 hours late for the second. He described a very simple job and said he would call back the next day. Weeks went by. There was a painting job already scheduled that had to go partially undone because it involved the chimney area. I needed the job done by a deadline because I was having my home inspected for refinancing. They missed the deadline. I finally called the owner who made the worker come out the next day. The worker told me he "lost the measurements"... And never called back! When I explained to the owner the problem he had the job done in 36 hours. He was a good business man, but is hiring some idiots. The problem is, you are playing roulette. Which type of worker will show up?"

"I am extremely pleased with the work done.  The technicians were exceptionally professional and kept me informed about what they were doing all through the process.  They actually did more than expected in replacing the chimney cap damper.  The technician called me a week after performing the work to ask how the fireplace and chimney were performing."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"We had the old roof on our 1800 square foot rancher replaced with architectural style shingles.  This included flashing in all the valleys and water/ice seals around the whole perimeter and the chimney.  We had new rubber seals around all the vents and other openings in the roof, and new ridge vents installed.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
