Not many companies were willing to attempt this tricky repair that required lifting up a corner of my house about an inch with jacks, cutting out the rotted wood just above the foundation, and replacing it with new wood that needed to be joined to the existing wood that was not rotted. Custom Carpentry came as promised for the bid and actual repair and did a fabulous job. They were able to get it done in one day within a couple of weeks from my first call. Communication through the whole process was exactly what I needed. I would strongly recommend them for projects, especially ones that require a high level of carpentry skill.

The work was fabulous and very professional. Given the weather during the emergency, they couldn't work outside every day, but they kept everything covered and as well insulated as possible. As I said, we have used them for window replacement, remodeling a kitchen and several other smaller projects. Each was done very well. If I had any complaint it had to do with some delays due to emergency work that they are contracted to do for the disabled.

Beautifully. Daniel Mancuso, the owner, did all the work. Arrived on time or called if he was going to be late or couldn't come. Kept the work space clean and tidy at all times. His work is excellent. Everything was done on time for my husband to come home to an environment suited for his needs. Daniel made a difficult time in my life much easier with his friendly attitude and professional work ethic and attention to detail. I'd hire him back in a heartbeat should the need arise.

They began by charging a small amount to remove drywall to "diagnose" problems. I guess once they realized the extent they decided they couldn't handle it and left (after getting their first check).
They thought one leak was coming from a drain so they removed pipe and put in new one. It may have been leaking, but that did not resolve leaky shower. And guess what? The pipe was installed so it hung below the ceiling line in the floor below. I just discovered that one after trying to put drywall back up.
So not only did they get a paycheck and never "diagnose" the problem. I now need to pay someone to fix the pipe problem.
Oh, and they never did contact us with the estimate promised, even after repeated emails and phone calls.
The person we mostly dealt with was Jim R.
