"Amazing experience with Ancelmo from being to end! Very professional honest flexible and courteous. On time, licensed, works hard, cleans up debris and mess after each day. He is all hands from being to end. Excellent measuring and tiling/grout skills on uneven walls, symmetrical and flawless. Outstanding integrity, the mirror I bought was to large and he came back after the project was completed and paid for to install the mirrors. Ancelmo installed new plumping for a second sink, a new toilet, vanity/mirrors, tub with shower door, tub shower system, along with tiling the tub walls, vanity wall, and floors——thank you so very much Ancelmo!"

"Pyramid was recommended to us by a friend who has done a lot of remodeling and has priced granite in many locations in the area. She was right--after shopping around for a granite or quartz countertop for our guest bathroom remodel, Pyramid Granite had the best selection AND best price. We were looking for something that would coordinate with existing tile in the bathroom and it was easy to find several choices at Pyramid. They were very professional, helped us make a decision, came out to measure and delivered the product ON TIME. We ultimately settled on granite and our countertop is gorgeous--we will definitely be coming back when we remodel our primary bathroom! Ask for Temon--he is great!"

"We hired Sam for dry wall repair after a pipe burst and water valve replacement. Since we had him there he also replaced a shower drain and did our kitchen backsplash. He was professional and always on time. Prices are very fair. He did great work on all projects. Will definitely use him again."

"Looney’s Tile and Grout did an outstanding job in removing my outdated white subway tile kitchen backsplash and installed a beautiful mosaic and travertine backsplash! It looks incredible! I am very pleased! Frank and Giovanni were very professional and polite, on time, and very good in communicating the time they would be arriving. I highly recommend and would use them again for future tiling projects in my home. Thank you Frank and Giovanni!!"

"Faruk was amazing! Another contractor had done the original job but the results were absolutely horrid. The other contractor used day laborers (which they lied about) to do the work and it showed in everything they did. I ended up telling the other business partner in the job that I would not allow any of them, from project manager to crew, to enter my home again. So Faruk came in as a subcontractor. He reviewed the work with the business partner standing aside. I had expressed concerns about the work repeatedly during the original process and was ignored. Faruk could have done the same thing as he, like I, had a friendship with the business partner (who was an investor but not the person who performed the work).
We stood in the bathroom and I asked Faruk to make an honest assessment of the work. He immediately noticed that the tiling on the floor had been laid down in a crooked fashion. (Something, that as a non-professional, I had noted but was brushed off byt the project manager.) So the business partner consented on that. But then we moved on to the tiling in the bath. And the business partner started to balk at Faruk's comment that the shower had "not been done right." The business partner then got the original project manager on the phone. I could hear the yelling from the other end, where the guy kept making excuses for the shoddy work.
I fought for the tiles to be redone and eventually won that battle. My payment for the original work went towards Faruk's work. His results were exquisite. And while the stone flooring that I had chosen was not the easiest task he yet again came through in superlative fashion. He also: added trim to the tiling in my kitchen, redid the grouting on my kitchen tiles, re-adjusted some cabinetry in my kitchen, redid thresholds to my bathroom and bedroom, and countless other tasks.
I will post more pics but attached are pics of the shower and flooring before and afters.

"I am very pleased with the work Omar's General Contracting did on my new shed build and installation. The team was responsive, respectful, worked fast, and showed up when they said they would. They poured concrete footings, built the 8x12 shed from a kit, installed an extra window that I purchased, installed the roof, and painted the exterior. It looks great!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

Bathrooms are naturally moisture-rich environments, so choose a durable, water-resistant tile for your tub surround. Porcelain and ceramic are two popular options that are also quite affordable. Glass is another good option that’s also low-maintenance—you just need a glass cleaner like you would use on the bathroom mirror. Natural stone tile is porous, but it’s still a viable option if you choose it in a glazed version.

You should always use caulk instead of grout where the tile meets the wall. This will help your tile installation look great and last a long time. When you accidentally use grout for the corner seams, you end up making the tiles too rigid. So as the wall shifts over time, your tiles have no wiggle room. This can lead to tile damage, which will eventually require you to do at least a partial reinstallation.

Tile countertops can last up to 100 years when properly maintained. Ceramic and porcelain tiles are the most durable types and can last as long as natural stone countertops like granite, marble, and quartz. Tile countertops are much cheaper than natural stone countertops, making them an excellent option for a homeowner with a limited budget.
