"Ronal and his assistant did a great job. They were punctual, communicative, and did a beautiful job repairing our kitchen wall and installing a tile backsplash with hexagonal tiles, and leaving the area sparkling clean. Would definitely recommend."

"Pyramid was recommended to us by a friend who has done a lot of remodeling and has priced granite in many locations in the area. She was right--after shopping around for a granite or quartz countertop for our guest bathroom remodel, Pyramid Granite had the best selection AND best price. We were looking for something that would coordinate with existing tile in the bathroom and it was easy to find several choices at Pyramid. They were very professional, helped us make a decision, came out to measure and delivered the product ON TIME. We ultimately settled on granite and our countertop is gorgeous--we will definitely be coming back when we remodel our primary bathroom! Ask for Temon--he is great!"

"I had tiles that had come loose due to improper installation (by someone else). William remove that tile and hardy board to clean up the bad installation. He put down a new membrane and tile. He even found a new tile that matched the old ones. Great job!"

"Alex did a terrific job taking out the broken gable vent and replacing it with a new one that I had purchased from Lowe's. In the process of removing the vent cover, he discovered a nest with live baby squirrels at the base of the vent fan.  He was able to transfer them to a cardboard box and the mama squirrel returned andl retrieved them except one. She kept coming back and kept gnawing on the vent cover that Alex had just installed. We didn't know that one of the baby squirrels had fallen onto the attic floor until I checked that evening.  Sure enough there was one half hidden in the insulation and that is why mama squirrel kept returning.  My daughter gave it water throughout the night and it survived the next morning.  We placed it on the grass under the vent hoping mama squirrel would see her baby but she didn't.  She just made a beeline for the vent and continued to gnaw and I think she gnawed on it the entire day.  When I returned from work, she was no where to be seen but half of the louvered panel was chewed away. Fortunately she didn't return the third day.  I think she gave up when she discovered that there was a second panel behind the louvered one.  Nicole (who is just great ) was able to schedule Alex to returned the following week and he did another great job replacing the squirrel damaged vent with a new one.  I am grateful that he didn't charge me the full fee of  $168 but a small fraction of it.  Even the squirrel saga ended happily but I wish there was a way that I could let mama squirrel know that her baby is safe at the Wildlife Refuge and that her little baby will grow up to be just like her.

"We had new flooring installed in the basement of our home and couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was smooth and professional. The team helped us choose the perfect flooring that matched both our style and budget. The installers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and paid great attention to detail. They made sure everything was properly aligned and finished beautifully. The new floor looks incredible and have completely refreshed the look of our home. If you’re considering new flooring, I highly recommend this company for their quality, professionalism, and excellent customer service."

"I bought a home built before 1978 and found that there was some asbestos floor tile in the basement. I reached out to D&H Demolition and they immediately came out to take a look at the project and provided a free estimate. They were very helpful and answered all my questions which made me feel a lot safer about the situation. I hired them and they took care of the work the very next day! Overall I was very pleased with their price and quality of work. Highly recommend!"

"Ramon and team did a beautiful job installing porcelain tile in the new bath. They also carefully painted woodwork and the bathroom walls after surface preparation, improving upon work done previously in drywall installation by another contractor. Great job and value by an experienced team."

"Faustino power washed the brick front and aluminum siding of my home and his work was simply outstanding. I was only expecting him to do the front and both sides, but he ended up doing the back of my home as well, without my asking. It took all day and it wasn't easy doing it single-handedly, but we couldn't be happier. HIGHLY recommend!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Removing old tiles can be more complicated, but it can also be more manageable, depending on your circumstances. Typically, old tile is hard to remove because the adhesive had loads of time to bond with your wall, becoming a formidable foe between you and your new tile installation project. On the other hand, old tile in high-traffic areas can become loose, making it much easier to remove.

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Also, avoid walking over less stable ungrouted floor tiles as they are more prone to premature cracking and shifting.

How long painted tiles last ultimately comes down to the quality of the paint job and how much wear and tear the tiles get. It’s possible the paint job will only last about six months if the tiles are in a high-traffic area and they weren’t properly cleaned, sanded, and primed prior to painting and sealing. Well-painted tiles in a low-traffic area should last at least a year.

Poured-in-place terrazzo flooring is more durable than tile. In fact, it’s one of the most durable types of flooring on the market. It can last anywhere from 40 to 100 years, depending on maintenance. On average, you can expect your terrazzo floor to last about 75 years, but you will have to make repairs as needed.

Like any painted surface, tile paint can peel and chip over time. However, tile paint can become especially susceptible to peeling during periods of high humidity. Other sources of excess moisture will also cause tile paint to peel faster than normal. And if the tiles are in a high-traffic area, like the entryway floor, tile paint will chip and peel faster.
