The company failed to add the braces and when the wire mesh was attached to the posts it was uneven by as much as a foot. The job supervisor even noted that there should be braces. Tried to contact the project manager through both the job supervisor as well as the person who schedules the jobs to no avail. They promised he would call me to discuss but he never did. I used this company a number of years ago to install a wrought iron fence and later to tear part of the fence down during the addition of a swimming pool. The work and the response were excellent which is why I called them for this job. Also the people doing the work years ago appeared to be employees as they wore shirts with the company name. The recent work appeared to be performed by a contractor who didn't speak much English. We had been dealing with the communication company which was used by the builder of our home and they were totally unresponsive and untimely. It was ironic that they finally contacted us via e-mail the night before Protech was to do our agreed upon install, they took two weeks to get back to us. This was not the case with Robert, once he contacted me, we discussed what I wanted and submitted an initial proposal. The first proposal had all of the bells and whistles, but I discussed my budget with Robert with the emphasis on having a particular projector. Robert came back with a great trade off on equipment to give us the most bang for the buck. The price was right and we agreed to proceed with the project. Mind you Robert and his coworker (I believe Eddie) drove from Houston, where Protech Communication is located. They arrived a little bit late but called before the agreed schedule to let me know they were on the way. Once they arrived, Robert took a look at the media room, attic and area. He showed me the equipment to be installed and explained in detail all that was to be done.. They went to work and worked diligently running the wiring for the media room, checking with me on the placement of the speakers and all. They worked all day because the room had to be completely re-wired. After all was done, there was a problem with the DVD player and Robert went out to purchase a replacement. The DVD still did not work, but had to have the software up dated which they did on the spot. After all was complete Robert made sure the speaker sound was balanced and provided a demonstration of all components (wii, Xbox, Apple TV,and universal remote) and most importantly the projection system and amp. They installed the TV in the family room and set the wiring up for the cable company. After Robert and Eddie left we received a text from Robert asking if we were happy with with the install, and thanking us for the opportunity as well as letting us know that he is just a call away if we need any help with anything. This was a truly professional company, which starts with it's people. Because of Protech Communication's outstanding customer service, my wife and I have renewed hope in using contractors and now know there are companies out there that care about what they do, and will go the extra mile to give you the very best service...even if they have to drive from Houston. Service can be a crap shoot. Parrot gave me clear options with clear consequences so I could analyze the situation to make sound decisions bringing our neglected pool back to life . I was not pressured, or encouraged to do more than what was required. The owner did, however, let me know that sometimes the least expensive direction may have more expensive long-term undesirable problems. Since I don't live in Houston, nor at the location of the pool, I had to trust work was being done as agreed. From everything I could tell upon later visits, Parrot made good on every promise and executed the job competently, pleasantly, in due time. The owner takes a personal interest in his clients, coming to the house himself to make the bid, to check on progress of the repairs and remained in contact regarding work being done. He was knowledgeable, comfortable talking about the issues, and kept me informed so that I could stay "on the same page" with him during explanations and decisions. The only part of my experience that was disappointing was he is so busy that the company's billing is done all but manually, resulting in my debit card being charged when we'd agreed upon a check payment for a large down payment. That wouldn't bother me normally but the debit card had a daily limit and I was taking care of estate issues for my dad traveling 200+ miles back n forth. I could have been embarrassed & frustrated at a retail store or stranded at a gas station when the daily debit limit was used. We'd arranged to tell me it's time for a check which I could've given him right away. With the exception of that particular communication let down, most all other communications have been adequate. It is for that snafu in communication and the out dated means of billing that I rated professionalism lower than other ratings. In every other way, he is quite professional and appears to open to learning from any mistakes, always looking for ways he can improve office activities when he can devote the time. Pool service is demanding and difficult managing a team that's spread all over the city. However, he does appear to stay on top of his 'guys'. He expects them to do the job as he would. He tends to hire like minded employees. Recently, I've had to ask for more mechanical additions to enable water to be added in my absence. I was informed of the problem by a respectful call from the employee assigned to my pool's maintenance. I haven't seen the work yet. I would've liked a followup call to say the solution had been put into play. I'll report if there's a prob. I'm trying to say that I felt I could trust solving the problem of evaporation between maintenance visits to have been solved without taking advantage of me while understanding the difficultly of running an elderly parent's pool remotely. I like to communicate with most people with brief exchanges in a text. He seems to gladly use texts as well-or at least for my convenience. I've been out of commission with surgery, resulting in slow pay this fall (ironic, huh?) To his credit he's been kind and patient. I appreciate his nature very much."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/conroe/parrot-head-pool-service-reviews-2080064.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Superior Foundation Repair","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"WILLIAM S."},"reviewBody":"First of all SUPERIOR told me it would be a four day job. They finished it in TWO DAYS! I was thrilled. The morning they arrived I opened my door to see an army of men busily getting down to work. These guys know exactly what they're doing. There was no confusion, dawdling or goofing off - the crew is all business. (Not to say your life won't be disrupted - but I'll take two days of chaos versus the two weeks one of the other firms advised me it would take.) it was fascinating watching them drive the steel piers into the ground - 20 ft. in my case to bedrock. The entire house shook as they hammered each steel pier down - 24 total - completely surrounding the house. The results were almost immediate as they began to lift. No more cracks in the walls and ceiling, doors opened and closed freely, no bumps in the floor - amazing! Superior gives you a lifetime guarantee - transferable if you sell the house to the next tenant. They came in after all was said and done and showed me with their monitoring equipment what had been previously 2 to 3 inch off angle slopes was now virtually indistinguishable. Great job and totally satisfied. (Two caveats: Protect whatever yard plants and lawn you don't want trampled to death. Go ahead and fence off. This army of workers was efficient and hard-working - but they don't take great care to step around your petunias, etc. Just protect what needs protecting. Also, after 60 some odd years I found out the cast iron pipes under my house were leaking. A virtually guaranteed occurrence. Be prepared to shell out for plumbing repairs as well. SUPERIOR works with RAPID ROOTER plumbing and they did a splendid job of fixing me all up underneath - just be prepared. (Also, I found out my house insurance covered "tunneling and backfill" for the plumbing work so I got back $2500. Be sure and check your policy!) "DO NOT HIRE. Unprofessional, uncommunicative and poor workmanship. As a homeowner, I have never come across a company as unprofessional and difficult to work with as Queta Construction. Once I paid them for my fence, their communication and willingness to repair my poorly built fence went downhill. On their first day on the job, they arrived two hours late and “accidentally” tore down my neighbors gates. Although they agreed to repair them at no cost, this still prompted problems with my neighbor. After their first day on the job, they left cement, trash, hardware, bottles and their materials littered all over my yard and did not notify me when they were leaving or returning the next day. On the next day, I noticed that they had installed one of the posts on my neighbors property line and when I pointed it out, they responded with “yeah we did that so it wouldn’t press against the tree”. When I asked them if they could put the post back on my property line, they pulled out the post that had already set in cement and reused it by digging a larger hole and pouring more cement. In their contract under provision 7, it states “contract warrants all workmanship for a period of one year following completion”. In addition, provision 1 states “all work shall be completed in a workmanship like manner and in compliance with all building codes and other applicable laws”. It has been less than one year since my fence was installed and 5-6 of the boards of my fence were not nailed down properly, both of my gates would not open and Queta construction is refusing to replace the post that is consequential damage of their team installing a post off of the property line and reusing the same post after it had set. To top it off, I was told that my post split due to “sun damage” even though I paid for cedar, weather treated lumber. Queta agreed to nail down my posts and fix my gates, but only after not showing up for the job on 3 separate occasions. I would not hire them again and wanted to share my experience with photos as evidence of their negligence to follow through."

FAQs for wrought iron service projects in Yancey, TX
As with any project or material, installing wrought iron fencing has advantages and disadvantages. Some pros and cons of this fence material include:
Pros
Long lifespan with proper maintenance
Very durable
Aesthetically pleasing
Functional as well as decorative
Cons
Requires regular maintenance and cleaning
Expensive compared to other fence materials
Limited privacy
Wrought iron fencing costs about $3,100, on average, ranging from $470 to $10,000 or more, depending on the type of fencing, the length, and any custom design work. You should also consider additional cost factors, such as metal thickness, labor costs in your location, permits, old fence removal, tree or bush removal, land grading, gates, and columns. Wrought iron fence materials cost around $1,925 to $3,500 per project, or $25 to $35 per linear foot.
Installing a wrought iron railing costs about $2,600 on average, depending on the size and your location. Costs range from $700 to $4,600 for most projects. Typically, wrought iron railings cost about $50 to $120 per linear foot, not including labor. Additional cost factors include the material and component costs and any custom work.
Different wrought iron railing finishes include:
Plain black: $50–$70 per linear foot
Galvanized wrought iron: $60–$90 per linear foot
Ornamental wrought iron: $60–$120 per linear foot
A wrought iron fence is worth it if the material suits your home’s needs and the cost fits within your budget. However, wrought iron is not the best choice if you’re looking for a fence that increases privacy. However, if you want a fence and a security gate that complements your brick or stone home with a classy, timeless, and elegant look, wrought iron fencing is a good option. As far as the longevity of wrought iron fencing compared to other materials, wrought iron wins almost every time.
A high-quality wrought iron fence should last a lifetime or even centuries. However, making your wrought iron last as long as possible will require regular maintenance as the material is susceptible to corrosion and rust. Maintenance involves cleaning the fence with soapy water every six months and applying a new coat of paint yearly. While you’re cleaning your wrought iron fence, scrub away any rust or corrosion to maintain its look and viability.
