"Had an iron gate installed inside. This company was very helpful and patient in deciding how to design the gate and they were professional in their work. The iron gate is gorgeous! I ended up decorating it and adding decorative designs. I highly recommend. They have us the best bid, too! See pictures"

Small jobs welcome

"Wendy in the office is great. Good communication. Mark and Mathew were efficient and friendly. Did the fence correctly and in two days. This was helpful as we have dogs that love to be out in their yard! I’ll be honest, we didn’t get multiple quotes, but we liked the neighbor’s fence they did so much, we went directly to them. They also helped us with a nominal design change to have our fence meet flush with our stucco post caps and it looks so much nicer. My only feedback is they did not remount the irrigation rain gauge (I should have reminded them or they could let me know I should do that myself). They also should be aware of their nice tools when they break for lunch. I think I scared off a potential thief (despite the neighborhood, people with malicious intent can be anywhere!)."

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

The depth of the fence posts depends on the height of your fence. If you’re installing a 6-foot fence, then digging 2-foot-deep holes for the fence posts will help ensure a secure installation. However, if you’re installing an 8-foot fence, the posts will need to be deeper than 2 feet to support the structure properly. Also, consider how far apart the fence posts should be to provide adequate support.

Pickets should sit at least 2 inches off the ground to encourage groundwater to flow underneath. Pickets can sit as much as 6 inches off the ground, but setting it any higher could let pets in or out of your yard unintentionally. These are not to be confused with the fence posts anchored underground with soil or concrete footing.

The price of purchasing and installing a fence around a pool is dependent on the type of fence material you choose. On average, a pool fence can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000+. Chain link and mesh fences are the least expensive options, while a fully glass fence will cost the most. Having an inground or above-ground pool will also be a key factor in determining fence prices.

Yes, installing wrought iron fencing will usually require a building permit, as do all types of fencing. Building permits for wrought iron fencing typically cost between $150 and $500, and the price will vary based on where you live and how much your local building department charges. You may also need to pay for a property survey if you’re installing wrought iron fencing on your property line. This type of survey can cost around $500, but it prevents issues with building on neighboring properties, which can be much more expensive in the long run.

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.
