Prado's Marble And Granite

Joe Prado and his crew do excellent work. They did an great job with demolition, installation and clean up. My counters are beautiful. I will definitely hire them again and would highly recommended them.

Although the job was very small, it was done swiftly, professionally, and with excellent quality. The owner (Joe Pado), the office staff (Lisa), and the fabricator (Antonio) were courteous and responsive. From the time I first contacted them to see if they would take the job to it's completion was less than 2 weeks. In a world where not many vendors are impressive, this one IS! You will not be sorry to work with this company!

Joe Prado really knows his stuff! He helped us pick out beautiful and quality quartzite stones for our countertops and was very patient during the process. He and his team were very professional and very detail oriented. I am so happy with my STUNNING countertops. Lisa was also very good at keeping in touch with me, which is something that I really appreciate, and it's not as common as I wish it was. Based on Angie's List reviews, I called Prado's Marble and Granite and spoke with Lisa Prado.  She found out the specifics of our project and quickly scheduled Anthony to do the work - on a Saturday, no less.  He arrived promptly and obviously, was knowledgeable, conscientious and professional.  After careful measuring and assessment of the area, Anthony quickly but meticulously did the cut-out.  While Lisa prepared me for the dust, since they had to work on previously installed granite, Anthony ensured everything was completely clean.  In addition, he and my husband put the new induction cooktop in place and tried it out before leaving.  Everything was as quoted and promised - or better.  Finally, the extra touch . . . Lisa called today to confirm everything had gone well and we were satisfied (never requesting this review).  It might seem minor, but I appreciate the excellent customer service - start to finish.  I won't hesitate to use Prado's again and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone requiring stone work - either for installation and repair work.

• We had a very good experience.  They came when they said they were coming and did their work.  Kept messy work outside.  Did all the cutting outside.  Cleaned up around their work area every time they left. We had heard so many horror stories we were very skeptical about choosing a company.  But we chose several from Angie's list to interview and got estimate and we chose them.   

Joe and his crew provided a great experience from beginning to end.  He was quick to return my emails, calls and texts.  He answered all my questions and found quick solutions and alternatives to any issues that came up.  He is a true craftsman and his attention to detail is reflected in the quality the finished product.  He handled all the coordination with his shop and the granite supplier.  Picking out granite, matching the overall kitchen design and determining the correct cuts can be a difficult task.  Joe made this entire process easy!  The install was quick, and his crew kept our kitchen as clean as possible considering granite dust is flying around the room.  Overall the end result was beautiful and we couldn't be happier with our kitchen and our experience with Prado's Marble And Granite.

Prado's Marble and Granite did a fantastic job.  We have a lot of counter space and we really feel like we got  great value for our money.  Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant to work with and extremely knowledgeable, patient and polite.  We picked granite with large veins and we were encouraged to go to the shop to preview the templates on the granite prior to cuts being made so that we would be happy with the placement of the large veins.  The results were absolutely stunning!  We are so happy with the finished product.  Mr. Prado is very good at walking you through the process and his son, Anthony, is masterful at blending the seams so they are nearly impossible to find.  Two slabs were used for our kitchen and we had one seam, but no one has been able to locate it without us pointing it out.  We only point out the seam because we are so impressed with how well it was matched, we like to show off Anthony's work!  Great care was also taken with the cutout for our cooktop and reinforcement of the bar areas.  On the day of installation, Mr. Prado introduced me to every one by name. They were all cordial and took great pride in their work.

Anthony from Prado's marble and granite arrived at the time and date arranged. He explained and showed both my husband and I how he was going to fix the damaged areas. Anthony worked diligently and carefully for five hours ( 5x7 foot area) .We felt that Anthony paid attention to details, and he ensured that the cracks were filled and the scratches polished out. The countertop looks great now !   
I was impressed that this company was willing to drive all the way from downtown San Antonio to New Braunfels to get the job done even though it was a small job for them. If I am ever going to have a new granite countertop installed, I will call Prado's marble an granite , because I can be sure that they have the expertise to provide service even after the installation is completed!

TMr. Prado performed the measurement and template process.   The installers scheduled a noon installation but did not show up until 4pm as they were still performing fabrication work at the last minute. ]  All pieces fit but ogee edge cuts were not smooth.  Workers complained about not having higher end equipment to produce a smooth edge.  They came back and took two pieces back to their shop and recut the ogee edge.  It was slightly better but not what I expected for the price.  If Prado did not have the tools to produce a clean cut ogee edge, they should have said so.  Anthony offered me a cutting board for my troubles and promised to help with my backsplash but never showed up or called back.

Mr. Prado is very professional. He arrives in a "Prado" polo shirt clipboard in hand. The work gets done correctly as long as he's present. His worker, Anthony on the other hand seemed in a hurry that he left a door frame out, forgot to caulk, and cover holes with wood puffy, and didn't clean smudges left behind. Mr. Prado not only returned and fixed all the loose ends but he went a step further and painted small areas for continuity. He's also very intelligent informing me about this out there current administration and he made me a cutting board!
