We specialize in building wood fence, chain link, wrought iron, automatic gates with 24 hour service available; security cameras, masonry, vinyl fencing, decks, staircases & railings, structural steel, plasma art, custom work, and much more!We do any residential, commercial, or industrial job. We work with a lot of general contractors, home builders, apartment complexes, and Home Owner Associations. We mainly work with the South San Antonio area, but we will go out of this area depending on the scope of the job. Terrible - T posts were cut off at top instead of driven into ground. Salesman lied about entire project.

In May 2015, we contracted with Quality Fence and Welding to replace our wrought iron security door and railing around our front stoop. At the recommendation of their salesman we opted to have the new work powder coated instead of painted as the salesman insisted the powder coating would hold up better in the direct afternoon sun to which the front of our home is exposed. He stressed we should have years of maintenance free relief from the annual touch up painting we were having to do on our old door and railing. The installation was completed at a cost of $2712.61. There was a 1 year warranty included. Within the warranty period we started noticing signs of rusting under the powder coating. The company sent a repairman who sanded down the areas, painted them and left us touch up paint. Later we started noticing significant rusting and the powder coating started chipping off. We notified the company again and they sent an inspector to see what the issue was. In early Feb. 2017, the inspector arrived and looked at the problems. He stated the door and railing should never have been powder coated as powder coating does not hold up as well as painting under the Texas sun. This is in direct contradiction to what the salesman told us who sold the product. Additionally, the inspector looked at where the powder coating was chipping off and stated that the door and railing were not primer coated before the powder coating was applied. He took pictures and stated he’d get back to us. Shortly thereafter he sent us a quote for $1330.00 to remove the door and railing and refinish them. It is our contention that if the door and railing were not primer coated as the inspector stated before the powder coating was applied then we were sold a defective product and we felt the company should correct the problem at no charge to us. The inspector came back and stated that the fading and cracking is an “Act of God” and we’d have to pay to have the railing and door recoated. This in only approximately 18 months of use. We still contend we were sold a defective product and Quality Fence and Welding should repair or replace at no additional charge to us.

[*** Link removed ***] As bad as it could be. They were unreliable, poor third party subcontracting, dishonest salesman who refused to correct the plan or measure the area. Was home the morning they started and caught the salesman taking parts to my old fence that was to stay. Boss came out to review the poor work and told third party to fix it. They just sawed off the tops of the T-posts that were not driven in properly to make it look even! They threw the metal pieces onto neighbors land!

Quality fence installed 6 commercial gate openers in the subdivision. When the developer turned over the subdivision to the HOA, they did not provide keys to the 6 large gate operators.
Quality fence had a file on them and knew the proper keys to order.
I have contacted multiple people in the company, most of whom said they would get them on order and call me when they came in. This has been going on for almost 2 months. Still no keys.
I contacted the President on a Thursday and expressed my frustration. While cautiously nice, he made excuses for his people and said that they said I had put the order on hold. Does he think I would be calling the President to find out the order status if it was on hold? Do you think there would be some reason I would keep calling back if it was on hold? Totally illogical excuse from his folks and he should know it. He did his best to imply that it was all my fault.
He said his assistant would take my order and he transferred me to her phone. Her voicemail said she was out that day and would return on Friday.... Did he not know that?
I left a message to call me to place the order. Two days later and she has not called.
I still have no keys nor any idea if they are on order.
I'm lucky it is not a serious issue. Their customer service is horrible.

My experience dealing with this company has been horrible. They do not show up when scheduled, no communication between departments and over priced. Job still not finished! I DO NOT recommend this company.

Company was supposed to add wooden braces in the fence corners to strengthen the fence and allow for the wire mesh fence to be stretched properly and evenly. The company failed to add the braces and when the wire mesh was attached to the posts it was uneven by as much as a foot. The job supervisor even noted that there should be braces. Tried to contact the project manager through both the job supervisor as well as the person who schedules the jobs to no avail. They promised he would call me to discuss but he never did. I used this company a number of years ago to install a wrought iron fence and later to tear part of the fence down during the addition of a swimming pool. The work and the response were excellent which is why I called them for this job. Also the people doing the work years ago appeared to be employees as they wore shirts with the company name. The recent work appeared to be performed by a contractor who didn't speak much English.

Quality fence repaired (welded) a damaged chrome kitchen chair. The job was beautifully done with minimum noticeable

The two technicians were prompt and professional. We have called them for minor gate issues, like when we had an ice storm and the gate was frozen closed. They talked my husband through manually opening the gate, then came out later when the ice had melted and reconnected the gate making sure it worked. We feel very fortunate to have found Quality Fence and Welding.

Bought a new house 05/12/2011 and the fence that was installed by Quality Fence was falling apart within one year after purchasing the house. My Builder Plantation Homes said I had one year warranty but had to contact Quality. They told me it was out of warranty because they Installed the fence 6 months prier to purchase date. You would think I would get one year from purchase date. After talking back and fourth for 1 month they sent someone out but I was not at home and the just left a note and said sorry we missed you when I told them the gate would be unlocked to go ahead and survey the damage. Contacted them several more times no response, I finally had to hire another company to fix my fence, cost me 1500.00. I can not believe a company would do this to a customer they have a big account with like Wilshire homes and Plantation.

They did a very good job. The part most recently was under warranty and the cost above was for the labor. They were responsive and they did the work quickly. The repairman did a great job with his professionalism but the office staff did leave something to be desired the most recent time that I spoke with them, this has not been the case every time.

They were fantastic. I plan on using him again in the near future. They rescued me from a service provider that did not do the work that they were suppose to do. They did an amazing job and they did what they said would do. The person that came out and the guy that was with him were very friendly. The gate is sturdy and it was just what was needed for the fence. This was so our dachshund could not escape anymore, the gate is low to the ground.

The service went well. We were very pleased with the work. In general everything went well and we were very happy the service. They were very thorough with the work and we talked to other fence companies that were not as accommodating. We live in a green belt and we wanted to make sure that the gaps between each wrought iron would not allow animals to get in. The cost was reasonable compared to other estimates. I would recommend them.

The work was good. I have no complaints. We had an issue with some follow up work and they did respond very good when called. I am thinking about using them soon for other work as well.

They did a very good job. The cost of the most recent fence was lower than a bid we received from another contractor. Everything turned out well, there had been a miscommunication about the placement and they came back and took care of it immediately. They did this with no issue.

(Workers actually did pretty good work, except for not showing up at all of one of the days. Customer service however, left lots to be desired. Locaters had been out and then had not heard anything about when work would be done. Found out guy we were working with was now on vacation. Left 2 messages - no return call, then on my third call I was told oh they will be out today. when 3:30 came and no one had come out I called and asked to talk to a supervisor and then workers came out at 4PM. Then Supervisor said someone would come out to check the job but no one did.
