Ernie's Plumbing Service IncI had a 22 year old Delta tub/shower faucet that had been leaking and I could not get the bonnet nut to come off to replace cartridge. I ended up torquing too much and caused a small leak in the valve body in the wall that couldn't be sealed. I was a little apprehensive seeing the negative reviews but since they offered a free service call/estimate with no obligation I gave them a call. They came out and confirmed the bad news. The estimate came to $787.50 with senior discount which included going in through the bedroom wall to cut out and replace valve body and install a new Delta tub/shower faucet. I had priced the parts at Home Depot and it was over $200. Travel time to get parts and faucet and labor was a little over 3 hours. I felt the total price for labor and parts was reasonable so I accepted. Bryan was the plumber they sent and he did a pro job ( I did have to patch the drywall afterwards but Bryan did a good job of keeping that to a minimum). Now we have a nice new chrome Delta faucet instead of that old worn gold plated one. I would hire again and I would ask for Bryan. He was a lifesaver. Going out to turn water on/off at street was getting old.- Richard W.

called their emergency number during the holidays, after hours. their phone service seems pretty professional as it gets you to an operator that helps get the information for the service. the operator contacted the on call service tech and he called within 30 min. Came right out to our house and helped us with our sewer stoppage issue. Wade was super nice very professional. Since it was during the holidays after hours, we felt pretty bad but he was really nice and made the whole process really easy.

Rick arrived, very pleasant, explained everything very well. Was going to charge us $69 for the visit (fair), $173 to find out was wrong (basically looking at a ceiling fan), and then possibly another $373 to fix a breaker if need be. Here's the problem, most companies look at the problem and tell you what's going on and what needs to be done and then you talk costs. I am a fair person and understand that the company needs to make money and is not a charity. Saying this, I know Berkey's has a lot of over head and is a well oiled machine. Really expensive.

After confirmation of appointment and waiting over a week they finally informed us they do not service people who live in a mobile home. Providing water/plumbing services to someone is not a priority of this company if you live in a mobile home. Nowhere on the website does it inform someone that they do not care about a necessity of life if you live a mobile home.
