"CC Floors Austin did an outstanding job. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly knew their craft. From prep to finish, every step was handled with care. My floors look great. "We asked Al to come out and see about repairing a bamboo floor, but there was no way to save it. Al talked us through about the reasoning. We then hired them to remove the floor and put in a new floor. The floor installer was quick and did a lovely job, considering the previous floor had been glued down, not floated like our new floor. Al came by to check on the project several times, and we were very happy with the result!"

"It was Awesome! Gladys and her crew have the experience to know just what to do when they hit a bump in the road which often happens in older homes. Thy show up on time, stay on budget, and clean up as they go along. I just cannot say enough good things about TexBest. I would not use anyone else for wood floors or tile installation"

"Excellent! Manor came out and did the estimate which was a less than the competition - M G Floors is on Angie's List. We opted to use tile that looked like wood on the 1st floor - house is just under 3,000 sq ft. My sister and neighbor did the same with tile due to their dogs. No more scratched wood floors and they are perfect. New carpet and thick pad for. second floor and it looks and feels great! Miranda is the manager/owner along with Manor and she walked us thru everything, time frames, etc. Two crews - one for carpet and one for tile. Both were timely, accurate, cleaned up after the project, etc. M G Floors has an excellent showroom on Anderson Mill Rd east of Hwy 183 which also helped us decide. Worth the trip. I would use them again without hesitation."

"Nick and his team at Diamond Flooring were incredible! They came in right before the holidays and tackled 3,000 sqft of tough rug glue and crud from our floors?and got it done flawlessly. They also stained our bathroom floor a beautiful espresso, and we couldn?t love it more! The team was professional, efficient, and friendly, and the price was just as impressive as their work. I would highly recommend Diamond Flooring to anyone looking for top-notch service!"

"We moved into a home in Lakeway that had outdated, scratched, shiny cherry wood flooring and filthy carpets. We were prepared to tear everything out and start from scratch if necessary. Kevin and Shelly promptly responded to our inquiry, sat down with us, walked us patiently through all our options and built a plan that met our needs. As others have commented, they listened to what we wanted and did not pressure us to do more than we were comfortable with. We were able to refinish the wood floors and upgrade the carpet at a reasonable price. The contractors were professional, courteous, efficient and competent. There were a few midstream changes that I made which were handled cheerfully by Kevin and his team even though they weren’t part of the original plan. A few weeks after the job was done another contractor damaged the wood floor finish and although we haven’t yet resolved the repair, Kevin continues to be responsive and helpful. There are a lot of choices out there for flooring and a lot of contractors providing services. Kevin and his team delivered a solution that was right for us and a quality result that we are proud to own."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

In Austin, flooring maintenance varies by material and the city’s humid climate. Hardwood floors benefit from regular humidity monitoring and quick cleanup of spills to prevent warping. Tile floors need weekly mopping and periodic grout sealing, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. Luxury vinyl flooring is easy to maintain with routine sweeping and damp mopping. Carpets should be vacuumed frequently and professionally cleaned to manage Austin’s seasonal allergens.

Helpful?

In Austin, most single-room flooring installations take one to seven days, with hardwood and tile requiring more time than carpet or luxury vinyl. Whole-home projects can last from three days to three weeks. Timelines may be extended by foundation repairs, unexpected subfloor issues, or weather-related delays, especially during Austin’s spring storm season and peak construction periods.

Helpful?

In Austin, hidden costs during flooring projects often include subfloor repairs, moisture barrier installation, and addressing foundation shifts due to clay soil. Homes built before 1980 may require asbestos or mold remediation. Additional expenses can arise from updating electrical or HVAC systems, moving appliances, and disposal of old flooring. Material shortages or expedited shipping fees are also common in Austin’s active housing market.

Helpful?

Before starting a flooring installation in Austin, plan your project for the drier months to minimize moisture issues. Have your foundation checked for stability, especially in older neighborhoods. If your home was built before 1980, arrange for asbestos testing. Review any HOA guidelines, confirm your flooring contractor is insured, and order materials early to prevent supply chain delays common in Austin’s fast-growing market.

Helpful?

Upgrading your flooring in Austin can significantly enhance your home’s value and attract buyers, especially when installing hardwood or luxury vinyl plank in open-concept living areas. Austin buyers often prefer durable, modern finishes that complement the city’s popular ranch and mid-century homes. New flooring helps your property stand out in a competitive market, particularly if you plan to sell within the next few years.
