"I can’t recommend Juan Pablo and his team enough. I don't think I've said "I'm so impressed!" this many times in one day. First, I'll mention the things people tend care about the most. When I called Juan Pablo for an estimate shortly after the wind storm, he responded the same day and was able to come by the next morning. We needed a large Arizona ash, a large hackberry and a medium cedar tree cut down. The ash hung over our neighbor’s property and over our house. The hackberry hung over our back fence. Both of these things made the job more difficult. Juan Pablo provided a clear written estimate the same day. We contracted with him on Tuesday evening, and he confirmed right away for Thursday the same week. Juan Pablo and his team arrived at 8am that day and immediately got to work. They were courteous, professional, and organized. He initially expected the job would take two days, which was reasonable given the size of the trees. Juan Pablo and his team worked nonstop and got the job done in under 8 hours. You can’t even tell his team was here other than the missing trees and some saw dust around the tiny tree stumps left. JP’s Trees Service was the most affordable of the six companies we called for an estimate. Now for the things other people may not care about but are worth mentioning. Watching Juan Pablo work, he is truly a craftsman. The skill and precision with which he worked was beyond impressive. He was also clearly committed to maintaining his safety and that of his team. Everyone wore chainsaw safety clothing, he practiced roping and harness skills that would put many rockclimbers to shame, and was clearly vigilant about spotting where each branch would fall. This may not be a big priority for some people. But I would much rather give my money to someone who runs a responsible operation and looks out for his employees’ safety. We went with Juan Pablo because we liked him and his honest assessment of our trees. The fact that his estimate was the lowest was just a plus. Frankly, I would have paid more for the quality of work done. We will be calling him for any future needs and will happily pay more if he chooses to increase his prices. Also, I'm not sure what the reviewer from 5/2021 is talking about with regards to Juan Pablo's English. I speak fluent Spanish and have no problem switching to Spanish if it's clear English is difficult for the other person. My husband only speaks English. We both had multiple conversations with Juan Pablo in English without any confusion or difficulty whatsoever."

"I have Box Tree service for the past couple of years in Cedar Park. We recently located to Round Mountain and wasnâ t sure if Joshua would be interested in driving an hour or more to trim my trees. He of course said. Yes! My husband and I will continue to use Box Tree service for all the needs we have on our 10 acres."

"Ortiz cut some very high, large tree limbs that were hanging over my roof. They knew exactly what to do - showed me their plan by pointing a laser. Their price was extremely reasonable and beat the quote from another tree service by a lot. They cleared some small branches from the other roof side and cleaned my driveway after they finished. I would hire them again for any tree service! I found them on Angi.com."

"Carlos and his team are trustworthy and leave the yard and area in pristine condition. I have hired them twice. They removed a huge palm tree and four others that died in the freeze. They trimmed other bushes and six live oak. I appreciate their expertise and professionalism. Numerous service individuals see the zip code and instantly overcharge. I donâ t mind paying a fair price for requested services. Carlos and crew are fair and exceed expectations."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Tree service in Austin involves seasonal tree trimming, regular health inspections, and pest management. Spring is ideal for pruning and checking for winter damage, while summer requires deep watering and monitoring for insects. In fall, prepare trees for cooler weather, and in winter, focus on dormant pruning. Austin’s climate also demands attention to drought stress and proactive measures against oak wilt and other local diseases.

Helpful?

In Austin, tree service offers immediate benefits like improved safety by removing storm-damaged or overhanging limbs and enhancing your landscape’s appearance. Over time, regular tree health assessments and pruning promote stronger growth, prevent root damage to foundations, and support native wildlife. Consistent care also helps trees resist drought and pests, ensuring your property remains resilient through Austin’s changing weather patterns.

Helpful?

Completing tree service projects in Austin can significantly enhance your home’s value and curb appeal. Well-executed tree trimming, pruning, and removal of diseased trees make your property more attractive to buyers. Healthy, mature trees also provide shade, which is highly valued in Austin’s climate, and can reduce energy bills—factors that boost resale appeal and help your home stand out in the local market.

Helpful?

Your Austin home is a strong candidate for tree service if you notice overgrown branches near your roof, signs of disease like leaf spots, or trees with storm damage. Properties with mature oaks or pecans, especially those shading the house, benefit from regular tree trimming. Homes with large yards or clay soil also need ongoing care to maintain tree health and prevent root issues.

Helpful?

Austin’s hot summers, drought periods, and occasional ice storms directly affect tree service needs. Scheduling tree trimming in late fall or winter helps avoid oak wilt season and minimizes stress on trees. Regular inspections after storms are crucial to address broken limbs. Choosing drought-resistant species and maintaining deep watering routines help trees thrive despite Austin’s unpredictable weather patterns.
