"We highly recommend U.S. Energy Solutions...Mom and dad had some unforeseen electrical issues that needed to be fixed in their kitchen due to an inspection review before selling their home. I went to Angie's List put in a request for suggestion and U.S. Energy Solutions got right back to me. We set up and appointment! Electrician was prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. He diagnosed the issue straight away, took the time to show us and explain the problem. His confident approach to the problem was reassuring and was fixed quickly! All the way around a great experience!!"

"Mr. Electric of Greenville did excellent work. They were on-time, clean, and courteous. They replaced our electrical panel, and despite having to work through a number of difficult issues they stayed until all of the work was completed. I will definitely plan to hire them again for my next electrical work project."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Easley, using moisture-resistant wiring and weatherproof electrical panels is crucial due to the humid climate and frequent storms. Ensuring proper grounding helps protect against lightning strikes, while following local code requirements and obtaining permits is essential for safety. For older homes, upgrading electrical panels and adding surge protection can significantly extend the lifespan of your system and reduce risks from power outages.

Helpful?

To keep your Easley home safe, inspect outdoor outlets and surge protectors each spring, especially after winter storms. In summer, check attic and crawl space wiring for heat or moisture damage and test your generator before hurricane season. Fall is ideal for cleaning electrical panels and preparing for ice storms, while winter calls for monitoring usage and checking for ice buildup on overhead lines.

Helpful?

Your Easley home is likely ready for electrical upgrades if it was built before 1970, has an outdated electrical panel, or uses older wiring. Homes near flood-prone areas benefit from elevated electrical components, while those experiencing frequent outages should consider generator installation. If you notice flickering lights, frequent breaker trips, or lack GFCI outlets, it’s time to explore improvements tailored to Easley’s conditions.

Helpful?

Common mistakes in Easley include skipping required permits, using non-weatherproof materials outdoors, and attempting complex electrical panel upgrades without professional help. Homeowners often overlook surge protection despite frequent storms or forget to address moisture in crawl spaces. Failing to research qualified local electricians or starting projects during storm-prone months can also lead to delays, safety hazards, or costly repairs.

Helpful?

When planning electrical projects in Easley, consider scheduling work during spring or fall to avoid weather delays from summer storms or winter ice. Some neighborhoods have HOA guidelines that may affect exterior installations. Easley’s clay soil can impact grounding, and homes on hills may require special planning. Also, check for utility rebates and coordinate with your utility provider if you need a service or generator installation.
