"We highly recommend U.S. Energy Solutions...Mom and dad had some unforeseen electrical issues that needed to be fixed in their kitchen due to an inspection review before selling their home. I went to Angie's List put in a request for suggestion and U.S. Energy Solutions got right back to me. We set up and appointment! Electrician was prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. He diagnosed the issue straight away, took the time to show us and explain the problem. His confident approach to the problem was reassuring and was fixed quickly! All the way around a great experience!!"

"Recently moved to SC and needed a RV power outlet installed. I had previously called and received an estimate(s) from another electrician. I had some knowledge of what was needed for the job, so I felt the first estimates for the other company was a bit too high (quotes ranged from $2800-5800). Then I called Pete. He came out, examined what needed to be done and gave an honest estimate. He was professional, polite and most of all HONEST. I hired him to do the work. In a few days (due to holiday) he came back and completed the job. There were some issues that created more work than what was originally thought, but Pete made sure everything was hooked up correctly and working before he left. He never charged for the extra work and only charge his original estimate (which was under what the other company wanted to charge). I would recommend this company and Pete Justice for any electrical needs in the area. He is honest and trustworthy and does a great job! Thank you Just Electric!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

After finishing an electrical project in Clemson, schedule any necessary inspections and keep all documentation for insurance or future sales. Test GFCI outlets, smoke detectors, and surge protectors, especially since Clemson’s humidity can affect electrical components. Consider an annual safety check and update your insurance if major upgrades were made. An energy audit is also helpful to improve efficiency during Clemson’s hot summers.

Helpful?

For minor electrical issues in Clemson, always turn off the breaker and use a voltage tester before replacing outlets or switches. Monthly GFCI testing is smart due to local humidity. Avoid electrical work during thunderstorms or in attics during peak summer heat. If your home has older wiring, or if the project involves outdoor areas or rental properties, it’s best to consult a local professional.

Helpful?

To ensure a smooth electrical project in Clemson, start by checking local permit requirements and any HOA or rental guidelines. Choose a contractor with strong local references and proper insurance. Schedule work outside of football season to avoid delays, and plan indoor projects during the hottest months. Consider material delivery logistics, parking, and coordinate with local utilities for any necessary service upgrades or outages.

Helpful?

Clemson’s older homes, especially those near downtown or the university, may have outdated wiring or unique preservation needs that can complicate electrical work. Homes with crawl spaces, clay soil foundations, or multiple stories often require extra planning. Always check for aluminum wiring and confirm your electrical panel can support modern appliances. Outbuildings and workshops, common in Clemson, may also need specialized installation.

Helpful?

In Clemson, electrical issues like sparking outlets, burning smells, frequent breaker trips, or persistent flickering lights should be handled right away to prevent fire hazards. Projects such as adding outlets or ceiling fans can often wait a few weeks. Clemson’s stormy weather, older homes, and student rentals may impact urgency, so always prioritize safety and ensure any urgent repairs follow local code requirements.
