"Green's Electrical was very responsive and professional. We were so lucky to find them. They had a cancellation so we were able to get a quote and have the work completed within a few days. Hunter was knowledgeable and professional. We received excellent customer service, a quality finished product and a very fair price. We will absolutely use them for any project in the future and highly recommend them."

"The rep suggested several improvements including upgrading to a solar heating system. We are now in the process of installing a solar heating system. With government tax incentives over the next 2 years we will finance $15K. If I just keep paying what I was paying for my monthly power bill towards the solar panels and upgrades the payback is less that 7 years. After which, my electricity is free. System has a 30 year warranty. Looking forward to the installation and will provide feedback once it is installed and in operation."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Seneca, electrical project timelines vary by complexity. Simple tasks like installing outlets or switches usually take 1–3 hours, while ceiling fan installations may require up to 4 hours. Larger projects, such as a panel upgrade or generator installation, often span 1–2 days. Whole-house rewiring can take 3–7 days, especially if local permit approval or weather delays occur.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Seneca should begin with a comprehensive electrical inspection and panel evaluation, especially in older homes. Prioritize installing GFCI outlets in kitchens and bathrooms, adding whole-home surge protection for storm safety, and upgrading outdoor lighting for gatherings. Ceiling fans and generator readiness are wise investments, particularly for homes near Lake Keowee or in areas prone to power outages.

Helpful?

Regular electrical maintenance in Seneca includes annual panel inspections, monthly GFCI outlet testing due to humidity, and checking outdoor fixtures, especially for lakefront properties. Before storm season, test generators and review surge protection. Each spring, inspect for storm-related damage; in summer, check air conditioning connections; in fall, prepare outdoor lighting; and in winter, examine heating system wiring. Schedule professional inspections every 3–5 years.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Seneca can make your home more appealing to buyers, especially with features like modern panels, EV charging stations, and smart home upgrades. These improvements are particularly valued due to local storm risks and the popularity of lakefront living. Updated wiring and generator installation can set your home apart in the Seneca market, attracting tech-savvy and safety-conscious buyers.

Helpful?

In Seneca, warning signs like flickering lights when large appliances run, persistent burning odors, or warm outlets and switches should never be ignored. Frequent breaker trips may indicate overloaded circuits, especially in homes with added amenities. If your property has outdated aluminum or knob-and-tube wiring, schedule a professional electrical inspection to prevent minor issues from escalating into major repairs.
