"Good people to work with. Love the whole-home approach for the same price as just solar panels from other companies. Solar panels, tankless hot water heater, nest thermostats, and radiant barrier work well. A few issues during installation, but they worked everything out to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to others."

"Could t happier with Devin. In a world where most handymen charge ridiculous rates and are very dependable Devin went above and beyond. Communication was great, cost was more than fair, and the work was excellent. Couldn’t recommend Devin more."

"This company specializes in Trane, probably the best brand. I am very satisfied with their work. I recommend them without reservation. They carefully and quickly prepared a quote. They completed the job (installing a new heat pump) on time, at the quoted cost, and even did some extra small repairs of my other heat pump. They did the job for substantially less than quotes I received from larger companies. They are a pleasure to work with."

"They were quick to reply to my quote request and Blain arrived when they said he would. I noticed my water heater had gone bad around 11:00am and they had the new one installed around 6:00 the same evening. Blain was extremely nice, professional, and respectful and the work seems to be top notch."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Gel bait and gel bait traps use poison to kill cockroaches, and aren’t safe to use around pets. Many gel bait traps are called “child-resistant,” but this only means that the traps are hard to rip open for children. Large pets and children are still able to swallow them. If you use gel bait, use it in areas where pets and children can’t access them, such as under a washing machine. Another option is to use glue traps, which don’t contain pesticides and are safe to use around pets.

Badgers have a strong sense of smell, so it’s possible you can deter them with strong scents, such as applying citronella oil to the bottom of your fence, adding crushed scotch bonnet peppers sprinkled throughout your garden, or mixing both of these into a solution to spray around your home and garden.

Set live traps or install a one-way door to evict squirrels, rodents, and other animals from your attic. Once they’re out, seal any entry points to prevent the animals from returning. If you’re dealing with an infestation, call a pro.

Scorpions can be drawn to your home for a number of reasons, and it depends on the type of scorpion you’re finding. Often, scorpions check out moist areas that attract their prey, including insects like cockroaches, crickets, and moths. If you’re looking for scorpion hotbeds in your home, start with cold and damp places like crawl spaces, attics, or behind appliances.

Ant and termite infestations look very different. Since termites feed on wood, one of the warning signs of their presence is drooping drywall, peeling paint, loose floor tiles, and crumbling wood. On the other hand, ants feed on plant- and animal-based food options, so you’ll likely spot a colony near your home’s food sources. If you’re unsure what type of pest infestation you have, hire a pest control specialist to inspect for you.
