"this is my second review. I am totally confused by this company. If I could add to my first review I would. This is what happened: I contacted them to come out to a rental property to fix a run on toilet. They came out and I was told the toilet was fixed. When I received the bill months later it had been sent through my lawyer of my trust even though I had given them my address, they went online to find the owner of the property etc. So they did not keep a record of my address or phone number that I had given them. (this ties in later). On the bill it said, leaky faucet. I called them and said I wish they had called me when they were AT the property as there is always a fee to just show up - they could have fixed the faucet WHILE they were there. Tony (or Kyle, but I think it was tony) said so sorry and he would go back out and fix it and even throw in the faucet (that he has at the office) to make that up to me. I said well, thank you but will it fit that old sink? He said to email photos of the sink. I did. I then emailed many more times and called many times and never heard back. So I came in to angies list to right my first review. THEN Tony called. He apoligized and told me how many properties they manage well and they wanted to make it up to me. I had by this time ordered the correct faucet so they went out to install it at no charge. They sent a "bill" for $750 (but no charge) and it showed many other items they did for free that were kind of vague to me but I am not a plumber - like teaching the tenants how to use the kitchen faucet without it making a humming noise (I didnt know it did that or why). But I thought ok, good. It's all fixed. Then I emailed them again months later and reported that there was a leak in the basement and I sent photos of the leak of the pipes above the clothes washing machine to be very clear what work needed to be done. Tony wrote me back about what he suspects the leak in the basement is from and an estimate on the cost to clean out that pipe etc - I agreed and CC-ed my new (second floor) tenant so they could work out when to go back out and get access to basement. THEN my new tenant informs me the toilet is leaking. I check in with previous tenant and say, I thought that was fixed? - and I was informed "partly, the plumbers had said they'd come back out with some chain part but never did" - I reported this to Tony and said, while you are there can you also finish up the work on the toilet upstairs. He arranges a time with my tenant. I get the bill and it charges me again $175 to fix the toilet (now third time working in that bathroom and I was charged for the visit and the work twice but whatever, hopefully now the toilet is finally fixed once and for all). THEN i get the bill and it only mentions the toilet repair. No mention of the reason I had emailed tony - about the leak in the basement. I pull up the email to Tony and his response and send it to him and say, what about the lack in the basement?. - AND HIS RESPONSE IS: "The tenant didn’t mention anything and I personally entered your last service call to make sure we didn’t screw up" - I said, scroll down in this very email! He then offered to go back out and check the leak in the basement now. So three trips to fix the toilet. Got other random free stuff and now I have to call them out AGAIN to check the leak in the basement that has been now going for 2 months...What more can i do to be clear? I honestly think they are trying to do a good job but have ZERO office staff and their communication lines in the office and also between the office and the men on the site are terrible. They have no communication with the guys they send out there. I'd LOVE to find a reliable plumber but I don't know how to help them anymore. I literally can't be any clearer. UPDATE: One year later the toilet was not working AGAIN. Some issues. It was never fixed. I called Sutherland Plumbing and Shawn replaced the toilet. UGH."

Signature Plumbing Services, LLC is an established business in the Portland metro area. The company strives for more than just the purpose of making a profit. More specifically, it is the intention of SPS to donate a percentage of its profits to local animal rescue foundations. Additionally, SPS will accommodate the service needs of the elderly with discounted pricing. The owner believes in top notch customer service, whereby the customer is able to ask questions and get answers, understand the process up front, participate in decisions, and not be hit by unexpected surprises and charges. By engaging in community reciprocity, SPS will bring accessible and affordable service, public awareness, and grass roots integrity back to the forefront of the plumbing service industry.

"If you need a garbage disposal installed then by all means use David (fyi there are no other employees). However, I paid $150 an hour for David to learn how to install shower hardware/plumbing and toilets in four bathrooms as he has ZERO knowledge of anything outside of your run of the mill Home Depot Kohler or Moen fixtures. Several times I had the saleslady from the hardware store on the phone with David explaining how the pieces went together. In the end I had to finally find another plumber as he was just eating up time at $150 and hour. Oh, and yesterday the new plumber discovered that he installed one of the toilets incorrectly and it leaked and warped the wood floors. I emailed this to David who of course said it could never have been his fault. AVOID"

"After getting several bids for the project of repiping our home we decided that the bid by Repipe Specialists best fit our needs and budget. I am thankful we chose them for the job. They were professional from start to finish. They stuck to the timeline and dates agreed to, except to call us and ask if we would like the drywallers to come a day earlier than planned since they happened to have an earlier opening. The repipers were in and out in one day, leaving us with cleaner healthier water, and less wait time for the water from our hot water heater to reach the bathroom. We have better water pressure as well. Since we had them run a pipe from the city source as well as the inside of our house, there was a small hole around the water meter that had to be filled once the inspector had come out, that was the only part of the job that was left to us and took all of five minutes to do. The drywallers did a great job, were prompt, professional, and got the job done quickly. If I were in need of repiping a home again I would use Repipe Specialists again. I highly recommend them."

2002 years of experience

We are a family owned and operated business with wide ranging plumbing expertise. Founded in 2002, we use modern plumbing techniques to protect and upgrade all kinds of property investments. Do you have a leaky faucet? We can fix it, no problem. But if that leaky faucet is out of style and aging, we can replace it with brilliant new models that will liven up any kitchen or bathroom. We do everything from the basic to the extraordinary with our ability to do plumbing, going deep into your drain system, upgrading water heaters, and keeping your appliances and connections in excellent condition. We are based a few minutes from Downtown Portland Oregon. However, we cover the greater metro area and outlying communities. What is an outlying area? Give us a call and we'll discuss any distance issue you feel you may have. Formerly All In One Plumbing

"They installed our toilet in 2020. We then rented our home out. Now in 2023 we move back in to find sewage dripping in our crawlspace. Upon investigation, it’s coming from the O ring of toilet. They put a plastic ring on with no seal under. Not only is there sewage in crawlspace, but our subfloor is crumbling. This is an astronomical expense. We had them also relocate a water shutoff valve in crawlspace. On inspection, they used amateurish shark bites on all connections, leaving us prone to major leaks. The contractor who fixed everything asked us if it was a diy job. They were shocked to find out we paid and hired this work out to a professional."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

You can decide whether you need a water softener or water filter based on how your bathing or laundry experience is. If you notice issues like limescale buildup, dry skin, or stains on dishes—all telltale signs of hard water—you'd likely benefit from a water softener. However, if your main concern is over chemicals or bacteria in your tap water filter, and not just comfort, a filter is a better option.

Replacing a water softener costs $200 to $6,000, depending on the capacity of the water softener, the type of water softener, and the amount of people living in your home. An ion exchange water softener is the most common type and costs $500 to $3,000. Water distillers, which cost $1,200 to $4,000, and dual-tank models, which cost $1,000 to $5,000, are definitely pricey, but they offer more filtration or capacity, respectively.

Water purifiers and water softeners serve different purposes, so the best one will depend on your particular needs. Water purifiers remove contaminants from water (such as bacteria, viruses, and chemicals), leaving you with ultra-clean and safe water. However, water softeners remove minerals from your water so that the water doesn’t leave stains around your house or cause plumbing problems.

Yes. To get soft water, you can install a water softening system, which will replace the calcium and magnesium ions in the water with sodium or potassium ions. Water softeners cost anywhere from $200 to $6,000, depending on the size and complexity of the system. You can either install a water softener for the whole house or just at your shower heads. If you’re sensitive to sodium or potassium, you can install a salt-free water conditioner.
