Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Dan Muir, born and raised in Portland Oregon. I went to Centennial High School and have a five year degree from Multnomah University. I began painting in 1973 to work my way through college and continued after graduation. I began on old Portland homes and soon perfected the preperation necessary to produce long lasting, quality paint jobs. "These guys did an AMAZING job. I wanted some new awnings before my paint job, and Dan hooked me up with one of his guys who created 3 beautiful awnings for me and fixed up some siding that had rotted before the rest of the painters came in. On a whim, I asked if Dan’s crew could complete the external paint job in time for a big birthday party I was hosting and he managed to knock it out with time to spare WHILE HE WAS HAVING HEART SURGERY. I mean, if that’s not above and beyond I really don’t know what is. The crew was fantastic and accommodating, and they were laughing and seemed to really enjoy the work, which is always a welcome thing to know that the people working on your home enjoy what they do. For a random Angi find, these guys surpassed my every expectation AND did it all at a reasonable cost and within a reasonable timeline. I can’t recommend them enough."

"I can't say enough great things about Alex and the crew who were here to paint. They were able to quickly get me an estimate and were quick to answer questions about colors and paint types. Alex even made a special trip to bring a paint color wheel so I could figure out the red for the front door. The crew was amazingly efficient. The house was pressure washed, prepped and the windows and doors were really only covered for a day. The entire paint job was done within 4 days. Alex walked me around the house and everything was looked at for the final touches. I can't stress how difficult the set up of our house is. It is 3 stories with a very steep driveway and they were able to use just ladders vs having to rent expensive equipment. Even with that, the quality of the painting was exceptional. They even used small brushes to get around the stones in the front entrance. On top of the amazing work, the total cost was extremely reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend using this Company!"

Exterior painting services FAQs
You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Calculate the square footage of the area you want to paint. Divide the square footage by 350 (the average square footage a gallon of paint covers). Multiply the number of gallons you need by two, as you’ll likely be applying two coats of paint. For a more accurate estimate, subtract the square footage of the windows and doors from the initial square footage total. It’s a good idea to plan for an extra gallon of paint to make sure you have enough to finish the job.
To calculate the square footage of a home exterior, painters multiply the length of the wall by the height of the wall to be painted. Then they add the total square footage for all of the walls to be painted. To calculate the price, they multiply the total square footage by their cost per square foot to prep and paint. Additional costs may factor in such as repairs, additional trim, and walls higher than the first story.
The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
You should apply at least two coats of paint when painting the exterior of your house. Two coats of paint provides better durability and more even coverage than just one coat.
