Great Experience. Had a slow leak bubbling up in my driveway. Plumber needed leak detection and recommended Simply Leak Detection as the top one of the 3 names he gave me. Micheal was busy but fit me in the next week since it wasn't an emergency, came on time, charged the quoted price (lower than some others) and found the leak quickly. Called three different leak detection services after digging up half the yard, totally exhausted. This was the only one that even responded. Mike was super nice on the phone and kept us informed when he would be there. He found the leak UNDER THE ASPHALT DRIVEWAY, after about 45 minutes. We never would have found it if not for him. A LIFESAVER!

We hired this company twice to find our water line from the main to the house.  The first time we also hired a plumber to detach the line from the main.  Michael came out and could only insert about 10 feet of the wire - our hillside is 200 feet long.  My husband started digging to find the water line on the hill looking for the spot my husband repaired a leak about 20 years ago.  He was not able to locate the repair so we hired a plumber to come out and cut the line so that Michael could run the wire to detect where the line is.  He used his detector and was SURE the line was where he marked it.  Two days later, my husband dug out that area to 3 or 4 feet deep and no water line.  My husband reopened the last place he had previously found the line and is now continuing to dig up the hill - a good 12 feet from where Michael was SURE the water line was.  A waste of money and more importantly time.  We need to locate the line for a construction project.

I contacted Simply Leak Detection late in the evening two days ago to locate a leak in the water supply to the house.  Michael Fend came out on schedule the following afternoon and located the leak.  Warden Construction performed the repair of the water line, which was buried 3' under the asphalt driveway.  Simply Leak Detection had located the exact spot in the middle of the 180' run.  The service was excellent.  I would use Simply Leak Detection again.

My water bill was higher than normal one month. I determined that I had a water leak in the water line the runs from the street to my house. I looked on Angie's List for a company to help m fix the leak and found Simply Leak Detection. I setup an appointment with Michael. Michael was prompt and courteous. Michael was able to locate the leak within the estimated time. I did not incur any additional costs beyond the estimate. I would highly recommend Simply Leak Detection.

Not only did Mike find the leak but he called a plumber immediately for me to see if anyone could come out right away. It turned out someone came out within a few hours to start the repair in the early evening, which ended up extending into the next day. The fact that Mike had a contact and good relationship with that crew probably saved me several days and even more $ on my water bill. I was completely impressed.

Noticead the water bill was high then realized there was a leak but couldn't see it. After digging around randomly for a few days, decided to ask an expert to help. Then found Michael Fend. He was courteous on the phone, came to work on time, well prepared, thorough yet very efficient. He detected the small leak under my driveway in the time he estimated, under two hours. Later, we dug up the spot he marked for us and sure enough, there is the source of our leak. Would highly recommend his services.

Accurate detection of where the water main was leaking. Another service company actually quoted me $8000 for main line replacement because they said it would be too difficult to diagnose and easier to just replace everything. Michael came out and found the leak source in less than 1 hour. The exact location where he marked on the ground is only few inches away, great job!

Tracked down a leak in a building for an HOA.

After choosing this company from Angie's List reports, I called Michael on 9/11, and he made an appointment for the next day.  He arrived on time and started searching for the water line.  He found that it had been installed to the north of the house and north of where the driveway is located, then it went diagonally under the garage floor to where the water tank, water heater, and the line to the faucet on the outside (to the south) of the house are located.
After considerable inspection, there was no obvious leak he could identify, and the water spot on the driveway was not near the water line.  He determined that the next step was to have a shut-off valve and pressure gauge installed on the line leading to the faucet outside the house. 
He made a drawing of what was needed and instructions for installation, and then the next day when I had Steve's Pump Service here, he talked with him on the phone to be sure they both understood what was needed.
Michael is very professional and doesn't waste time.

Michael's professionalism, equipment, and skills were all top notch.  He came out the next day and completed the work as quickly as possible (it took about 4 hours).  There was only one complication: a check valve made it impossible to drain all of the water out of the line (which greatly speeds up the job, especially for slow leaks).  This job definitely wasn't easy, but these guys just never give up!
I would definitely recommend this service, especially for jobs which are little more difficult than average.  A less skilled service could easily take more time, or fail to locate the leak properly during the first visit.  Leak detection is always pricey, but in this case I feel like I got what I paid for: the best!

Michael was prompt, extremely professional and his expertise was immediately evident, he was kind enough to explain while he worked what he was doing and how the procedure would narrow the leaking area down so my plumber would not have to search when they came out to make the repair.  I would highly recommend Michael if you ever have a leak. 

Went very well; Michael's audio gear found the leak near the service box in around ten minutes.     Since I was paying for an hour, he then tested some underground plumbing in other areas and told me nothing was leaking.
I mentioned a dampness problem in a lower floor bedroom;  Michael hauled out his infared camera and shot detailed photos of the damp areas in the wall, whih will help the people who come to seal it up.  Above and beyond!!
The service was pricy , but I realize I'm paying for the use of his expensive audio gear, and would not have found the leak without it.
